     Alice Trout was born on 7 June 1854 at Highland County, Ohio.² She married Samuel Beatty VanZant, son of Eli Ambrose VanZant and Hautentia Renoe, on 28 December 1876 at Hillsboro, Highland County, Ohio.³ Alice Trout died on 19 March 1932 at Highland County, Ohio, at age 77.² She was buried at Prospect Cemetery, Berrysville, Highland County, Ohio.²

     Hardin Roads was born on 4 February 1840 at Highland County, Ohio.^2,3,4 He married Lucretia Ellen VanZant, daughter of Eli Ambrose VanZant and Hautentia Renoe, on 1 January 1863 at Washington Township, Highland County, Ohio.¹ Hardin Roads died on 7 May 1923 at Muncie, Delaware County, Indiana, at age 83.⁴ His obituary read, "Funeral services for Hardin Roads, 83, president of the Merchants National Bank and dean of Delaware County bankers, who died early yesterday morning at the Home Hospital from a complication of diseases, will be conducted at the High Street M. E. Church at 3 o'clock tomorrow afternoon, with the Rev. H. D. Ketcham officiating. The body was removed to the family home, 225 North Mulberry street, and will be taken to the church at 1:30 o'clock tomorrow afternoon to lie in state there until the funeral hour. Thursday morning it will be taken to his old home at Hillsboro, O., where services will be held, and then will be brought back to Muncie and placed in the Roads mausoleum in Beech Grove Cemetery. All banks and trust companies in the city, as well as numerous banking institutions in the county, will be closed at noon tomorrow out of respect to Mr. Roads. Mr. Roads was born in Highland County, O., February 4, 1840. He attended the schools there and later attended Lebanon College. When seventeen years of age he began teaching school and later entered the grocery business in Hillsboro, where he remained until 1887, when he came to Muncie. In February, 1863, he was married to Ellen Van Zant, who died March 25, 1917. Immediately after coming to Muncie, Mr. Roads, in company with C. O., John W. and B. D. Glascock, entered the wholesale grocery business under the firm name of H. Roads and Company. After five years this concern was sold to Joseph A. Goddard, who founded the Joseph A. Goddard company. Early in 1893 Mr. Roads, with a group of other men, organized the Merchants National Bank, Mr. Roads being elected president. He was still serving in that capacity at the time of his death. He was also one of the organizers of the old Muncie Trust Company, which was consolidated with the Merchants Trust and Savings Company three years ago. He was connected officially with the Merchants Trust and Savings Company, the Yorktown Banking Company, the Farmers State Bank of Eaton, the Commercial Bank of Daleville, the Parker Banking Company, the Selma Banking Company and the Gaston Banking Company. He was also a stockholder in the American Lawn Mower Company and a director of the Joseph A. Goddard Company. Mr. Roads was one of the organizers of the present chamber of commerce and for many years served as treasurer. He took an active part in all civic and patriotic movements, but was not a member of any fraternal organization. He was a trustee of DePauw University for several years and was an active and devoted member of the High Street M. E. Church. Mr. Roads was widely known in banking institutions throughout the Middle West and since the organization of the Merchants National Bank he had looked forward to and worked that the company should have its own home. This desire was realized a few years ago with the erection of the present building at Mulberry and Jackson streets. Mr. Roads had been in failing health for some time, but only recently went to the hospital. His condition became so critical that death was not unexpected. Surviving are eight brothers and sisters: William Roads of Lexington, O; Henry Roads, of Pittsfield, Ill; Mrs. Minnie Storer, of Muncie; James Roads, Noah Roads, Mrs. Sallie M. Jaymes, Miss Emma Roads and John Q. Roads of Hillsboro,O; twenty nephews and thirteen nieces. Oliver and Daniel Storer, of Muncie, are nephews."⁴ He was buried at Beech Grove Cemetery, Muncie, Delaware County, Indiana.⁴

     Morris Morris was born in 1712 at Bucks County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Cadwallader Morris and Elizabeth Morgan. Morris Morris married Gwenllian Thomas, daughter of William Thomas. Morris Morris died on 21 November 1767.

     Gwenllian Thomas was born in 1716 at Bucks County, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of William Thomas. Gwenllian Thomas married Morris Morris, son of Cadwallader Morris and Elizabeth Morgan. Gwenllian Thomas died in April 1785.

     Cadwallader Morris was born in 1690 at Wales? He married Elizabeth Morgan, daughter of Edward Morgan and Margaret u, on 24 March 1710. Cadwallader Morris died in 1727 at Bucks County, Pennsylvania.

     Elizabeth Morgan was born in 1682. She was the daughter of Edward Morgan and Margaret u. Elizabeth Morgan married Cadwallader Morris on 24 March 1710. Elizabeth Morgan died in 1718.

     Wilma Elizabeth Russell was born on 13 February 1929 at East Palestine, Columbiana County, Ohio.¹ She was the daughter of William Cecil Russell and Bernese Elizabeth Pyle.¹ Wilma Elizabeth Russell died on 26 August 2003 at Angola, Steuben County, Indiana, at age 74.¹

     Mildred Kathryn Russell was born on 11 April 1930 at East Palestine, Columbiana County, Ohio.¹ She was the daughter of William Cecil Russell and Bernese Elizabeth Pyle.¹ Mildred Kathryn Russell died on 1 May 1948 at Columbiana County, Ohio, at age 18.¹

     James Redden Ethridge was born on 12 August 1912 at North Carolina.^1,2 He died on 12 February 1987 at North Carolina at age 74.²

     Annie Maude Stewart was born on 26 October 1908.¹ She died on 24 July 1988 at age 79.¹

     William Atkinson was born circa 1812 at Pennsylvania. He died in 1873 at Indiana.

     Selena Cooper was born on 28 January 1812 at Pennsylvania. She died on 26 July 1873 at Indiana at age 61.

     Catherine West was born in 1784 at Harford County, Maryland. She was the daughter of John West and Frances Howard. Catherine West died in 1869.

     Samuel R. Steen was born in April 1865 at Pennsylvania.¹ He died in June 1933 at age 68.¹

     Alma C. Bloom was born on 26 August 1873 at Pennsylvania.¹ She died on 18 October 1941 at Pennsylvania at age 68.¹

     Jennifer Lee Steen was born on 3 January 1920 at Connoquenessing, Butler County, Pennsylvania.¹ She was the daughter of William Lewis Steen and Guyla Belle Double.¹ Jennifer Lee Steen died on 4 April 1930 at Connoquenessing, Butler County, Pennsylvania, at age 10.¹

     Phineas G. Sturgis was born on 24 September 1818 at Georges Township, Fayette County, Pennsylvania.¹ He was the son of Phineas F. Sturgis and Elisabeth B. West. Phineas G. Sturgis married Martha Burchinal, daughter of Jeremiah Burchinal and Susannah Gans, on 16 June 1840 at Fayette County, Pennsylvania.¹ Phineas G. Sturgis died on 25 June 1910 at Georges Township, Fayette County, Pennsylvania, at age 91.¹ He was buried at Mt. Moriah Baptist Cemetery, Smithfield, Fayette County, Pennsylvania.¹

     Charles Lewis Steen was born on 20 October 1920 at Connoquenessing Township, Butler County, Pennsylvania.¹ He was the son of William Lewis Steen and Guyla Belle Double.¹ Charles Lewis Steen died on 22 May 1990 at New Castle, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania, at age 69.¹ He was buried at White Oak Springs Presbyterian Cemetery, Connoquenessing Township, Butler County, Pennsylvania.²

     Alma Emaline Steen was born on 21 December 1922 at Connoquenessing Township, Butler County, Pennsylvania.¹ She was the daughter of William Lewis Steen and Guyla Belle Double.¹ Alma Emaline Steen died on 22 November 2005 at Jefferson, Butler County, Pennsylvania, at age 82.¹ She was buried at White Oak Springs Presbyterian Cemetery, Connoquenessing Township, Butler County, Pennsylvania.²

     John P. Sturgis was born in 1791. He was the son of John Sturgis. John P. Sturgis died in 1871.

     Earl Charles Bigelow was born on 30 January 1890 at Parker, Armstrong County, Pennsylvania.¹ He was the son of Charles Amos Bigelow and Hannah Rosila McClintock.¹ Earl Charles Bigelow married Sarah Louise "Sadie" Double, daughter of James Reed Double and Mary Emmaline McCoy, on 14 February 1920 at California.¹ Earl Charles Bigelow died on 28 February 1961 at Los Angeles County, California, at age 71.¹
