     Olive Emma Heistand was born on 26 June 1862 at Ohio.¹ She was the daughter of Jacob Heistand and Delila Brouse.² Olive Emma Heistand married Henry Mahlon VanZant, son of Jackson Bousman VanZant and Phoebe Jane Spruance, on 25 February 1886 at Hillsboro, Highland County, Ohio.¹ Olive Emma Heistand died on 11 December 1922 at Highland County, Ohio, at age 60.¹

     Rena May VanZant was born on 27 September 1887 at Liberty Township, Highland County, Ohio.¹ She was the daughter of Henry Mahlon VanZant and Olive Emma Heistand.¹ Rena May VanZant married Emory Branson Knisley, son of William Hamilton Knisley and Mary Elizabeth Rhoades, on 9 August 1911 at Hillsboro, Highland County, Ohio.¹ Rena May VanZant married James O. Windom on 3 July 1937 at Highland County, Ohio.² Rena May VanZant died in 1981 at Highland County, Ohio.¹

     Grace Delilah VanZant was born on 4 July 1893 at Liberty Township, Highland County, Ohio.¹ She was the daughter of Henry Mahlon VanZant and Olive Emma Heistand.¹ Grace Delilah VanZant married Paul Horsman Kerns, son of Joseph Starr Kerns and Jessie Horsman, circa 1920.² Grace Delilah VanZant died on 9 October 1972 at Springfield, Clark County, Ohio, at age 79.¹

     Henry Walter VanZant was born on 16 June 1896 at Liberty Township, Highland County, Ohio.¹ He was the son of Henry Mahlon VanZant and Olive Emma Heistand.¹ Henry Walter VanZant married Ethel Piatt, daughter of William P. Piatt and Nancy J. Seaman.² Henry Walter VanZant died on 24 June 1974 at Hillsboro, Highland County, Ohio, at age 78.¹

     Ethel L. VanZant was born on 24 June 1901 at Liberty Township, Highland County, Ohio.¹ She was the daughter of Henry Mahlon VanZant and Olive Emma Heistand.¹ Ethel L. VanZant married Harold T. Downs, son of Thomas Henry Downs and Laura Almeda Patterson, circa 1928.² Ethel L. VanZant died on 2 September 1979 at Webster Groves, St. Louis County, Missouri, at age 78.¹

     Emory Branson Knisley was born on 8 July 1889 at Pike County, Ohio.¹ He was the son of William Hamilton Knisley and Mary Elizabeth Rhoades.² Emory Branson Knisley married Rena May VanZant, daughter of Henry Mahlon VanZant and Olive Emma Heistand, on 9 August 1911 at Hillsboro, Highland County, Ohio.¹ Emory Branson Knisley died on 6 April 1916 at Highland County, Ohio, at age 26.¹

     Mary Louise Knisley was born on 6 December 1913 at Hillsboro, Highland County, Ohio.¹ She was the daughter of Emory Branson Knisley and Rena May VanZant.¹ Mary Louise Knisley died on 30 December 2004 at Sun City, Maricopa County, Arizona, at age 91.¹

     Bertha A. Brown was born on 7 February 1872 at Danville, Knox County, Ohio.² She was the daughter of Samuel N. Brown and Sarah M. Florence.² Bertha A. Brown married Burch N. VanZant, son of Jackson Bousman VanZant and Phoebe Jane Spruance, on 15 March 1913 at Highland County, Ohio.¹ Bertha A. Brown died on 30 July 1940 at Hillsboro, Highland County, Ohio, at age 68.²

     Samuel N. Brown was born in April 1839 at Virginia.² He died in 1911 at Highland County, Ohio.¹

     Sarah M. Florence was born in 1842.¹ She died in 1894 at Highland County, Ohio.¹

     Florence Etta Lucas was born on 21 February 1883 at Prospect, Highland County, Ohio.¹ She was the daughter of William Lucas and Sarah Jane Wise.² Florence Etta Lucas married George Luther VanZant, son of Thomas VanZant and Harriet Catharyn Stanforth, on 21 July 1901 at Highland City, Highland County, Ohio.¹ Florence Etta Lucas died on 1 September 1949 at Samantha, Highland County, Ohio, at age 66.¹

     Madge Lucille VanZant was born on 10 February 1902 at Hillsboro, Highland County, Ohio.¹ She was the daughter of George Luther VanZant and Florence Etta Lucas.¹ Madge Lucille VanZant married Wilford Hudson Wilkin, son of John Wilkin and Rebecca J. Hart, on 29 September 1921 at Highland County, Ohio.² Madge Lucille VanZant died on 25 May 1983 at Hillsboro, Highland County, Ohio, at age 81.¹

     Georgetta VanZant was born on 20 February 1904 at Hillsboro, Highland County, Ohio.¹ She was the daughter of George Luther VanZant and Florence Etta Lucas.¹ Georgetta VanZant married Maurice Oliver Stout Sr., son of David Henry Stout and Louisa Alaine Beucler, on 29 September 1922 at Hillsboro, Highland County, Ohio.¹ Georgetta VanZant died on 14 January 1985 at Hillsboro, Highland County, Ohio, at age 80.¹

     Maurice Oliver Stout Sr. was born on 13 March 1897 at Hillsboro, Highland County, Ohio.¹ He was the son of David Henry Stout and Louisa Alaine Beucler.¹ Maurice Oliver Stout Sr. married Georgetta VanZant, daughter of George Luther VanZant and Florence Etta Lucas, on 29 September 1922 at Hillsboro, Highland County, Ohio.¹ Maurice Oliver Stout Sr. died on 1 January 1975 at Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio, at age 77.¹

     David Henry Stout was born on 23 August 1872 at Ohio.¹ He died on 25 January 1946 at Ohio at age 73.¹

     Harold Lee Stout was born on 20 July 1931 at Lynchburg, Highland County, Ohio.¹ He was the son of Maurice Oliver Stout Sr. and Georgetta VanZant.¹ Harold Lee Stout died on 26 December 2013 at Tacoma, Pierce County, Washington, at age 82.¹

     Louise May Stout was born circa 1938 at Ohio.¹ She was the daughter of Maurice Oliver Stout Sr. and Georgetta VanZant.¹

     Burch Newton VanZant was born on 15 July 1878 at Washington Township, Highland County, Ohio.¹ He was the son of Samuel Beatty VanZant and Alice Trout.¹ Burch Newton VanZant married Nellie May Gilbert, daughter of Joseph Clinton Gilbert and Isabell Elizabeth Ross, on 31 December 1903 at Highland County, Ohio.¹ Burch Newton VanZant died on 4 June 1965 at Wilmington, Clinton County, Ohio, at age 86.¹

     Harry Russell VanZant was born on 21 August 1881 at Washington Township, Highland County, Ohio.¹ He was the son of Samuel Beatty VanZant and Alice Trout.¹ Harry Russell VanZant married Ellen Pearl Roads, daughter of Robert L. Roads and Martha Elizabeth Griffith, on 21 August 1910 at Highland County, Ohio.² Harry Russell VanZant was James Harry Gabriel's birth father in James Harry's adoption to Charles Eber Gabriel and Goldie L. Roads. Harry Russell VanZant married Sarah Elizabeth Bussey, daughter of William H. Bussey and Emma Louella Brown, on 21 September 1935 at New Vienna, Clinton County, Ohio.³ Harry Russell VanZant died on 8 August 1975 at Hillsboro, Highland County, Ohio, at age 93.¹ He was buried at Prospect Cemetery, Berrysville, Highland County, Ohio.⁴

     Frank Ellsworth VanZant was born on 7 December 1883 at Washington Township, Highland County, Ohio.¹ He was the son of Samuel Beatty VanZant and Alice Trout.¹ Frank Ellsworth VanZant was James Harry Gabriel's birth mother in James Harry's adoption to Charles Eber Gabriel and Goldie L. Roads. Frank Ellsworth VanZant died on 1 April 1942 at Hillsboro, Highland County, Ohio, at age 58.¹ He was buried at Prospect Cemetery, Berrysville, Highland County, Ohio.²

     Starling Overton VanZant was born on 22 November 1886 at Washington Township, Highland County, Ohio.¹ He was the son of Samuel Beatty VanZant and Alice Trout.¹ Starling Overton VanZant married Sarah Ella Greenfield, daughter of James Henry Greenfield and Sophronia Moore, circa 1910.^1,2 Starling Overton VanZant died on 4 April 1971 at Wilmington, Clinton County, Ohio, at age 84.¹ He was buried at Prospect Cemetery, Berrysville, Highland County, Ohio.³

     Cyrus Homer VanZant was born on 13 June 1889 at Washington Township, Highland County, Ohio.¹ He was the son of Samuel Beatty VanZant and Alice Trout.¹ Cyrus Homer VanZant married Hazel Anna Redkey, daughter of Henry N. Redkey and Celestia Adna Fender, on 28 October 1920 at Highland County, Ohio.¹ Cyrus Homer VanZant died on 6 June 1979 at Hillsboro, Highland County, Ohio, at age 89.¹

     Hazel Anna Redkey was born on 4 May 1900 at Hamer Township, Highland County, Ohio.¹ She was the daughter of Henry N. Redkey and Celestia Adna Fender.² Hazel Anna Redkey married Cyrus Homer VanZant, son of Samuel Beatty VanZant and Alice Trout, on 28 October 1920 at Highland County, Ohio.¹ Hazel Anna Redkey died on 14 October 1998 at Hillsboro, Highland County, Ohio, at age 98.¹

     Sarah Ella Greenfield was born on 13 February 1891 at Highland County, Ohio.¹ She was the daughter of James Henry Greenfield and Sophronia Moore.² Sarah Ella Greenfield married Starling Overton VanZant, son of Samuel Beatty VanZant and Alice Trout, circa 1910.^1,3 Sarah Ella Greenfield died on 9 May 1947 at Highland County, Ohio, at age 56.¹ She was buried at Prospect Cemetery, Berrysville, Highland County, Ohio.⁴

     Ova Eugene VanZant was born on 9 November 1911 at North Union, Highland County, Ohio.² He was the son of Starling Overton VanZant and Sarah Ella Greenfield.¹ Ova Eugene VanZant married Ruby Belle Winters, daughter of Clyde Ellsworth Winters and Nancy Ellen Mullenix, on 23 March 1930 at Highland County, Ohio.³ Ova Eugene VanZant married Lora May Kier, daughter of Charles E. Kier and Mary Belle Lance, on 12 October 1936 at Louisville, Edmonson County, Kentucky.⁴ Ova Eugene VanZant died on 15 March 1968 at Our Lady of Mercy Hospital, Mariemont, Hamilton County, Ohio, at age 56.¹ His obituary read, "Train Crash Injuries Fatal, County Navive Dies Friday, Rites Tuesday - Ova E. Vanzant, 56, a native of Highland County, died Friday at 6:55 P. M. at Our Lady of Mercy Hospital, Mariemont, of injuries suffered March 6 when his auto was struck by a Norfolk & Western Railway freight train at the Third Street crossing in Williamsburg, Clermont County. He resided at 256 Walnut Street, Williamsburg. Vanzant was hurled from the car by the impact and landed on the road 25 feet away. He suffered severe head injuries. The train carried the car 75 feet. Railway signal lights at the crossing were operating, police said. Vanzant was born in Highland County on Nov. 9, 1911, the son of Starley Vanzant and Sarah Greenfield Vanzant. His father survives but his mother preceded him in death. He had been employed in recent years at the Globe-Wernedke plant in Cincinnati. He is survived by his wife, the former Lora May Kier, Williamsburg; one son, Lonnie E. Vanzant, Cincinnati, and two grandchildren, Jerry and Brian Vanzant, Cincinnati. Services will be held Tuesday at 1 P. M. at the Maham Funeral Home in Williamsburg, with furial following in Prospect Cemetery, south of Hillsboro."¹
