McNees, son of William McNees and Mary Covert, in 1840.1,2 Mary Ann Stoughton married James Adams on 15 March 1871.2 Mary Ann Stoughton died on 29 October 1909 at Marion Township, Butler County, Pennsylvania, at age 87.2,5 She was buried at Prairie View Cemetery (now Harrisville Prairie Cemetery), Harrisville, Butler County, Pennsylvania.2
