     Robert Stewart was born on 7 May 1805 at New Jersey.2 He Also marriage on 16 Oct 1826. He married Lydia Elizabeth McNees, daughter of James McNees and Elizabeth Taylor, on 16 October 1828 at Worth Township, Butler County, Pennsylvania.2 Sometime around 1850 Robert and Lydia bought a farm just off Route 8 at Stepp Inn next to what was the Country Club in 1970. In 1970 it had some 50 houses and a Methodist church on it. When the church was built one of the windows bore this couple's names and also that of Robert Walker Stewart and his wife. The R.W. Stewart family belonged to
Middlesex Presbyterian Church on Route 8. R.W. Stewart bought the farm from his father and Mrs. Cecil Augusta Stewart Cribbs was born on it.2
Robert Stewart died on 7 January 1887 at Penn Township, Butler County, Pennsylvania, at age 81.2 He was buried at Mt. Nebo Cemetery, Whitestown, Butler County, Pennsylvania.2
