     Dennis Springer was born on 23 June 1748 at Winchester, Frederick County, Virginia.1,2,3 He was the son of Dennis Springer and Ann Prickett.1 In 1772 he was living in Tyrone Township, Fayette County, Pennsylvania. He owned extensive tracts of land in and near Uniontown, Pennsylvania, but he lost a part of it when a debtor whose note he had signed, defaulted. He was the contractor who erected the first brick courthouse in Fayette County in 1795 for a total cost of $1362.53. He served two terms as county treasurer.1 Dennis Springer married Maria Elizabeth Small in 1774.1,2 From 1778 to 1783 he served as a lieutenant in Capt. Thomas Carr's company of Col. Thomas Gaddis' Rangers on the Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania frontier.4 Dennis Springer died on 6 April 1823 at the home of his son John, Uniontown, Fayette County, Pennsylvania, at age 74.1,2,3 He was buried at Great Bethel Baptist Cemetery, Uniontown, Fayette County, Pennsylvania.1

     Ann Griffith was born in 1741 at Bucks County, Pennsylvania.1 She was the daughter of Nathaniel Griffith. Ann Griffith married William Morris, son of Morris Morris and Gwenllian Thomas, on 28 April 1762.1 Ann Griffith died on 17 July 1821.1

     Morris Morris was born on 17 April 1771 at Bucks County, Pennsylvania.1 He was the son of William Morris and Ann Griffith.1 Morris Morris married Anne Springer, daughter of Dennis Springer and Maria Elizabeth Small, on 25 December 1800 at Fayette County, Pennsylvania.1 Morris Morris died on 1 February 1825 at Stewart Township, Fayette County, Pennsylvania, at age 53.1 He was buried at Great Bethel Baptist Cemetery, Uniontown, Fayette County, Pennsylvania.2
