     Ernest Walter VanZandt was born on 7 September 1909 at Point Marion, Fayette County, Pennsylvania.1,4 He was the son of William Wesley VanZandt and Daisy Estella Chupp.1,5 Ernest Walter VanZandt married first Ethel Irene Tygh, daughter of William Russell Tygh and Esther Ellen Reader, on 29 April 1934 at Church of God, Jackson, Jackson County, Michigan.6 Celebrated their 50th anniversary as follows: "The golden wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest W. VanZandt, 3442 Acacia Dr., Jackson, will be observed with a reception on Aug. 11 in Wayne Steeet Church of God. They were married April 29, 1934, in the Bennett Street Church of God. Mrs. VanZandt is the former Ethel I. Tygh of jackson. They are the parents of Marilyn Ridenour, Vandercook Lake; Barbara Mitchell, Hudson; and Dr. C. E. VanZandt of Greenville, N.C. They have seven grandchildren. Mr. VanZandt retired after 33 years with Walker Manufacturing Co. Mrs. VanZandt is a former Avon representative. They are members of Wayne Street Church of God." Ernest Walter VanZandt married second Edith P. u after 27 March 1994. Ernest Walter VanZandt died on 18 September 2002 at Jackson, Jackson County, Michigan, at age 93.3 His obituary read, "Ernest Walter VanZandt, 93, of Jackson died Wednesday, Sept. 18. He was a charter member of Westwood Church of God, and member of the Jackson Harmonica Club. He retired from Walker Manufacturing at age 62, after more than 30 years of service. He enjoyed gardening, playing his harmonica and leading the singing at Westwood Church of God. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Ethel. He is survived by two daughters, Marilyn "Moe" Ridenour and Barbara Mitchell; one son, Clair "Zark"; special friend, Evelyn Geishart; two sisters, Grace Tucker and Hazel Cassens; eight grand-children; and seven great-grandchildren. Arrangements are by Wetherby Funeral home, 402 Wildwood Ave.3 He was buried at Roseland Memorial Gardens, Jackson, Jackson County, Michigan.7

Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, Kalamazoo County, Michigan.5

     Maude Rebecca Crawford was born on 7 April 1874 at Old Washington, Guernsey County, Ohio.1,3,4 She was the daughter of Harold Robert Crawford and Martha Stiles.5 Maude Rebecca Crawford married Charles Hook McNutt, son of John Emory McNutt and Sarah Jane "Jennie" Hargnett, on 4 June 1895 at at the residence of her parents, Washington, Washington County, Ohio.1,6,7 Maude Rebecca Crawford died on 23 December 1961 at Washington Hospital, Washington, Washington County, Pennsylvania, at age 87.3,4 She was buried at Claysville Cemetery, Claysville, Washington County, Pennsylvania.3 Her obituary read, "Mrs. Maude R. McNutt, 87 of 218 Birch street, Claysville, died at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 23, 1961, in Washington Hospital, after a serious illness of five weeks. Mrs McNutt was born April 7 1874, in Old Washington, Ohio, a daughter of the late Robert C. and Martha Lanning Crawford. She resided in Claysville for the past 58 years. She was a member of Claysville United Presbyterian Church, a charter member of Claysville Mother's Club; and a member of King's Daughters of Claysville, in which whe had received a 5-year jewel, and Evening Star Chapter Order of the Eastern Star. Mrs. McNutt was the last member of her immediate family. Surviving are twin sons, Harold R., Claysville and Clifford E., Valencia and two other sons, Brig. Gen. Charles H. McNutt, Santa Barbara, Calif. and Dr. F. Bernard McNutt, Salem, W. Va. nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Two daughters are deceased."4
