Rose, 1125 Ninth Avenue, Beaver Falls, at 12:45 o'clock this afternoon. Time and details of funeral services will be announced later."6 Her obituary read, "Funeral services for the late Miss Ellen C. Rose who died at the home of her brother Jacob Rose, yesterday afternoon will be held from the home of her brother, 1125 Ninth Avenue, Beaver Falls, Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock with the Rev. C. A. Hartung, pastor of the First M. E. church, officiating. Interment will be made in Grandview Cemetery. Miss Rose was born in Mt. Chestnut, Butler County, had been a resident of Beaver Falls for the past 63 years and was a member of the First M. E. church of Beaver Falls. Surviving are two brothers Jacob Rose and C. W. Rose of Beaver Falls."8

Rose married Elizabeth Catherine Neeley, daughter of Henry Neeley and Margaret Crawford.2 Chapman W. Rose died on 26 February 1932 at Beaver Valley General Hospital, Beaver Falls, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, at age 81.3,1 His obituary read, "Chapman Rose, aged 83 years, of Mt. Washington, died Friday in the Beaver Valley General Hospital, following an illness of complications. He is survived by one brother, Jacob Rose of 1125 Ninth avenue, Beaver Falls."3 He was buried at Grandview Cemetery, Beaver Falls, Beaver County, Pennsylvania.4

     Jacob Armstrong Rose was born on 17 November 1858 at Prospect, Butler County, Pennsylvania.2,3,4,5 He was the son of Andrew Rose and Susanna Sproul.6 Jacob Armstrong Rose married Ellen "Nellie" Brownlee Dunn, daughter of John Curtis Dunn Sr. and Martha Baker Shroads, on 5 December 1901 at Beaver County, Pennsylvania.7,8 Jacob Armstrong Rose died on 9 October 1939 at his home, 811 Twelfth Street, Beaver Falls, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, at age 80.9 He was buried on 11 October 1939 at Grandview Cemetery, Beaver Falls, Beaver County, Pennsylvania.1 His obituary read, "Jacob A. Rose, 80, a resident of Beaver Falls for 72 years and a well known retired business man, died Monday at his home at 811 Twelfth Street. Born in Prospect, Butler County, he came to Beaver Falls at the age of eight years. When he grew to manhood he was engaged first in the transfer business, and later in the grocery business, retiring some time ago. He was a member of Black Eagle Commandery of the Knights of Malta at New Brighton, and had always been a staunch Democrat in politics. Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Miss Janet D. Rose and Mrs. L. A. Hall at home, and two grandchildren."9
