     John M. Greathouse was born on 25 July 1835 at Jackson County, Virginia.2 He was the son of Edward Neddy Greathouse and Matilda Elizabeth Blosser.1 John M. Greathouse married Rebecca Agnes Argabrite, daughter of Isaac Argabrite and Elizabeth Swope, on 2 January 1855 at Jackson County, Virginia.2 John M. Greathouse died in 1916 at Roane County, West Virginia.3
