     Elsie Rea VanZandt was born on 23 September 1880 at Pennsylvania.² She was the daughter of Isaac Newton VanZandt and Ella Elizabeth Travis.³ Elsie Rea VanZandt married James Luther Hoard, son of Benjamin Franklin Hoard and Emma F. Conn, on 27 October 1909 at Fayette County, Pennsylvania.⁴ Elsie Rea VanZandt died circa 1965.⁵

     Goldie Pearl VanZandt was born on 18 January 1883 at Pennsylvania.^1,3,4 She was the daughter of Isaac Newton VanZandt and Ella Elizabeth Travis.^1,5,3 Goldie Pearl VanZandt married Archie R. Pomeroy on 8 September 1928 at Somerset, Pennsylvania. However, she lived with her parents until their deaths and then in September of 1941 she finally announced that this marriage had taken place 13 years earlier.² Goldie Pearl VanZandt died on 28 January 1975 at age 92.⁶

     William Henry Pierce was born on 20 February 1855 at Ohio.¹ He married Elizabeth France Flora, daughter of Peter Flora and Sarah Ann Wilkinson, on 7 September 1878 at Ohio.¹ William Henry Pierce died on 27 July 1882 at Ohio at age 27.¹

     Gertrude Margaret Croll was born on 12 February 1880 at Butler County, Pennsylvania.¹ She was the daughter of Martin Luther Croll and Carolyn Charlotte Hawn.¹ Gertrude Margaret Croll died on 17 March 1965 at age 85.¹

     Ethel Irene Tygh was born on 11 September 1912 at Michigan.¹ She was the daughter of William Russell Tygh and Esther Ellen Reader.^1,2,3 Ethel Irene Tygh married Ernest Walter VanZandt, son of William Wesley VanZandt and Daisy Estella Chupp, on 29 April 1934 at Church of God, Jackson, Jackson County, Michigan.¹ Ethel Irene Tygh died on 27 March 1994 at Foote Hospital, Jackson, Jackson County, Michigan, at age 81.⁴ She was buried at Roseland Memorial Gardens, Jackson, Jackson County, Michigan.⁵ Her obituary read, "VanZandt, Ethel Irene of Jackson, passed away March 27, 1994, at the age of 81. She is survived by her husband of sixty years, Ernest; two daughters, Marilyn (John) Ridenour of Vandercook Lake, Mich., Barbara (Duane) Mitchell of Reading, Mich; one son, Clair (Kathryn) VanZandt of Gorham, Maine; two sisters, Martha E. Tygh, Marian E. Tygh both of Jackson; eight grandchildren, Debra (Mark) Bates, Carrie (Alan) Tinsley, Vonnie (Steven) Lammers, Michael and Scott Mitchell, Tygh, Tod, and Kyle VanZandt; three great-grandchildren, Erin and Bradley Bates and Nicholas Lammers. Ethel was a member of the Westwood Church of God for sixty-four years where whe taught Sunday School for many years. Services will be held at the Wetherby Chapel Wednesday, 1:00 p.m. with the Reverend Bill Kimbel officiating. Interment Roseland Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friends who wish may make contributions to the Westwood Church of God."

     Marilyn Irene VanZandt was born on 16 August 1941 at Jackson, Jackson County, Michigan.¹ She was the daughter of Ernest Walter VanZandt and Ethel Irene Tygh.¹ Marilyn Irene VanZandt died on 9 April 2003 at age 61.

Kapff.⁴ Emma May VanZandt died on 19 March 2000 at Jackson, Jackson County, Michigan, at age 93.^5,6 Her obituary read, "Kapff, Emma Mae Unger - Of Jackson, passed away March 19, 2000, aged 93. Survived by three children, Loretta (George) Clark of Florida, Bud Unger of Jackson and Eddie Kapff of Jackson; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one sister. She was preceded in death by a son, Calvin Unger in February of 2000. She was a member of the Church of God and always had her arms open to anyone in need. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Wednesday, 1:00 p.m. Burial Roseland Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday, 6 to 8 p.m. Patience - Montgomery 406 First St."⁵ She was buried at Roseland Memorial Gardens, Jackson, Jackson County, Michigan.⁵

     Forrest Harvey Unger was born on 8 March 1902 at Conneaut Lake, Crawford County, Pennsylvania.^1,2 He was the son of Aaron Smith Unger and Caroline Delista Williams.^1,3 Forrest Harvey Unger married Emma May VanZandt, daughter of William Lewis VanZandt and Emaline Mizner, on 24 December 1921.^1,4,2 Forrest Harvey Unger married Gladys Isabelle Sands, daughter of Chester Sands and Emma Porter, on 26 October 1941.⁵ Forrest Harvey Unger died on 31 May 1986 at Jackson, Jackson County, Michigan, at age 84.⁶ He was buried at Woodland Cemetery, Jackson, Jackson County, Michigan.⁶
