David was a Private in Company F, 100th Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteers and was wounded in the war. In 1850 Florence and 3 children were still living on the farm in Wolf Creek Township. Andrew was 28, Amanda 24, and Oliver 21.2 Florence McNees died on 8 January 1881.2 She was buried at Center Cemetery, Pine Township, Mercer County, Pennsylvania.2

Shoemaker, daughter of Jacob Shoemaker and Christianna Osmun, on 20 November 1862.3 W. Oliver Brackenridge was a Captain in Company F, 134th Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteers during the Civil War. He mustered in on 14 Aug 1862 and was discharged 12 Apr 1863 for wounds received at Fredericksburg, Va. on 13 Dec 1862.2 He died on 16 May 1909.2
