     Sylvia May Martin was born on 25 June 1910 at Starr Township, Hocking County, Ohio.1,2 She was the daughter of Carl Coleman Martin and Myrtle Belle Newlun.1 Sylvia May Martin married Roy Elsworth McNutt, son of Henry Bradford McNutt and Rosa Bell Gardner.1 Sylvia May Martin died on 1 August 1985 at 220 8th Street, New Philadelphia, Tuscarawas County, Ohio, at age 75.1,2 Her obituary read, "Mrs. Sylvia May McNutt, 75, of 220 8th St. SW, New Philadelphia, died Thursday in her home after a brief illness. She was born in Hocking County, a daughter of the late Carl and Myrtle Newlin Martin. She was preceded in death by her husband Roy F. in July 1976, two sons, a sister and a brother Edward Martin of Athens who died Wednesday. Surviving are a son and two daughters, Clyde R. of RD 2 and Mrs. Gene (Myrtle) Brown of New Philadelphia and Mrs. Ivan (Ada) Beitzel of Zoarville; three brothers and two sisters, George and Carl Martin of New Philadelphia, Floyd Martin of Athens, Mrs. Chuck (Clara) Stump of New Marshfield, O., and Mrs. Thelma Dexter of Logan; 15 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. Services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. in Kaserman-Naylor Funeral Home at New Philadelphia with Elder Glenn Carlisle officiating. Internment will be in Evergreen Burial Park at New Philadelphia. Friends may call Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 at the funeral home."3 She was buried at Evergreen Burial Park (now East Avenue Cemetery), New Philadelphia, Tuscarawas County, Ohio.1,2
