Katherine A. Safreed was born on 11 June 1927 at Jacksonville, Athens County, Ohio.2 She was the daughter of George Franklin Safreed Sr. and Sophia Staten.3 Katherine A. Safreed married Charles Joseph McNutt, son of John Wesley McNutt and Stella Margaret Hudnell.1 Katherine A. Safreed died on 22 October 2011 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, Franklin County, Ohio, at age 84.2 Her obituary read, "Katherine A. Gillott 84 of Jacksonville passed away October 22, 2011 in Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus. She was born June 11, 1927 in Jacksonville, Ohio, daughter of the late George and Sophia Staten Safreed. She was married to Charles J. McNutt who survives. Katherine was a Retired Mental Health Technician from the Athens Mental health Center. She retired after 33 years of service. Katherine was a foster parent for over 200 children and loved playing cards
at the 3 Star Senior Citizens Center. She was a member of the Jacksonville U.M. Church and the 3 Star Senior Citizens Center.
Katherine is survived by a son Denny (Wilma) Gillott of Chillicothe, daughters Cindy (Tim) Irwin, Wendy (Steve) Banik, and Sherry (Chris) Downs all of Glouster, 27 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren, daughter in laws Sue Ann Bolin of Waverly and Connie Bolin of Carroll, stepchildren John (Marsha) McNutt of Butler, Ohio, Karen West and Charles D. McNutt both of Columbus. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband Ray Gillott, sons Ed and Ron Bolin,
stepson Ron McNutt, 1 great granddaughter, 1 step grandson, brothers Isaac, George, and Charles Safreed, sisters Bernice and Garnet Safreed, Inez Bailey, and Martha Barnicoat. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00AM Thursday in the Bishopville Church of Christ with John Wright officiating. Interment will be in Maplewood Cemetery. Friends may call at the Cardaras Funeral Home 30 Main St. Glouster on Wednesday from 5-8pm, and on Thursday at the church 1 hour prior to the services. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to the R.E. (Ed) Bolin Scholarship fund 421 Buchanan Rd. Waverly, Ohio 45690."2 She was buried at Maplewood Cemetery, Bishopville, Athens County, Ohio.2

Robinson and Roena Phebe McNutt, on 8 January 1887.1,2,4 John Henry Patton died on 9 March 1939 at Nelsonville, Athens County, Ohio, at age 73.3 His obituary read, "Nelsonville - John Henry Patton, age 73, died Thursday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Thomas Forbes, 208 Myers St. Mr. Patton had been in failing health for several years.
Friends may call at the Forbes home until noon Sunday. Funeral services will be held at Stout's Funeral Home Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock conducted by Rev. Awe and Rev. Osman. Burial will be made at Greenlawn.
