     Clarence Edward Martin was born on 14 June 1941 at East Sparta, Stark County, Ohio.2 He was the son of Edward Nelson Martin and Oranna McNutt.1 Clarence Edward Martin married Ruth Marie Martin, daughter of George Henry Martin Sr. and Anna Marie McNutt.1 Clarence Edward Martin died on 23 April 2010 at New Philadelphia, Tuscarawas County, Ohio, at age 68.2 He His obituary read, "Clarence E. "Sonny" Martin 1941-2010. Clarence "Sonny" E. Martin, age 68, of New Philadelphia went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, April 23, 2010, following a lengthy illness. Born at East Sparta, O., on June 14, 1941, Sonny was a son to the late Edward Martin Sr. and Oranna (McNutt) Martin. Through the years Sonny was employed by a number of area firms including the former Union Cheese at Baltic where he served as a supervisor for the company. Sonny loved the Lord and enjoyed ministering to others. He loved to share Christ's love through the use of song and was known for his talent as a gospel vocalist. Additionally, he loved his family and being a friend to anyone he encountered and never thought twice about starting up a conversation with a stranger and sharing stories. Sonny will be deeply missed by his wife of 48 years, Ruth M. Martin; a son, Jeff Martin of Warren, O; two daughters, Ruth Ann (Stephen) Moles of Canton and Debra Walker of Marysville, O; siblings, William (Barbara) Martin of Bolivar, Darlene (David) Berry of New Philadelphia, Mary (David) Abbuhl of Massillon, Naomi Martin and Daniel (Karol) Martin, all of New Philadelphia; a brother-in-law, Merlyn Immel of Dundee; and a sister-in-law, Jane Martin of Strasburg. Two granddaughters, Heather Mann of Georgia and Misty Thomas of Strasburg; two grandsons, Christian Walker of Georgia and Gary Walker of Florida; two great-grandsons as well as numerous nieces and nephews complete the family. In addition to his parents, Sonny was preceded in death by his stepmother, Norma Martin; a brother, Edward Martin Jr; and two sisters, Carol Immel and Gloria Bailey. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services, on Tuesday, April 27, 2010, from 2 to 3 p.m. in the Chapel of the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. Pastor Earl Miller will lead a service celebrating Sonny's life on Tuesday at 3 p.m. In keeping with Sonny's wishes cremation will follow.      Edward Nelson Martin was born on 7 March 1915 at Canton, Stark County, Ohio.1,2 He was the son of George Robert Martin and Edna Olivia Hastler.1 Edward Nelson Martin married Oranna McNutt, daughter of Ira Newton McNutt and Hazel Lavina Rutter, on 27 September 1940.3 Edward Nelson Martin died on 13 September 2008 at Hennis Care Centre, Dover, Tuscarawas County, Ohio, at age 93.1,2 His obituary read, "Edward N. Martin Sr., age 93, of Uhrichsville, OH, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, Sept. 13, 2008, at Hennis Care Centre in Dover. He was welcomed
home by his wife, Oranna (McNutt) Martin, his two daughters, Carol Immel and Gloria Bailey, and his only sister, Edna Norris. Ed was born March 7, 1915, in Canton, OH, to the late George J. and Edna O. (Hastler) Martin. He was a member of the 11th Street Church of God
in Uhrichsville. His life was spent serving the Lord and working to raise his children. He loved music and ministering to people. He also was an avid gardener and woodworker. In addition to his wife, daughters and sister, he was preceded in death by three brothers, George, Harold and Harvey Martin, and three great-grandchildren. Ed is survived by three daughters and four sons, Clarence "Sonny" and wife Ruth Martin of Dover, Carol (deceased) and her surviving husband, Merl
Immel, of Dundee, William and Barb Martin of Bolivar, Gloria Bailey (deceased), Darlene and David Berry of New Philadelphia, Edward and Jane Martin of Strasburg, Mary and David Abbuhl of Canton, Naomi Martin of Uhrichsville and Daniel and Karol Martin of New
Philadelphia; 42 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his "adoptive family," Dave and Linda Gubanez and their four daughters of Bloomingdale, OH; also two special nieces and their husbands, Shirley
and Jim Price of Roswell and Carol and Ray Dull of New Philadelphia.
At Ed's request, there will be a graveside funeral service at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2008, at Ridgecrest Memory Gardens just off St. Rt. 39 in Dover with Pastor Earl Miller of the 11th Street Church of God officiating. No other visitation will be observed. At the family's request, contributions may be made to Hospice of Tuscarawas County, 201 W. 3rd St., Dover 44622. Hospice was always there for Ed and his family, day or night. Thank you for your love and support.

     Charlene Bell Martin was born on 14 May 1944 at New Philadelphia, Tuscarawas County, Ohio.2,3 She was the daughter of George Henry Martin Sr. and Anna Marie McNutt.1 Charlene Bell Martin married Gerald Zurcher on 16 June 1963.3 Charlene Bell Martin died on 2 May 2010 at Wooster Community Hospital, Wooster, Wayne County, Ohio, at age 65.3 Her obituary read, "Charlene B. Zurcher, age 65, of Dover died Sunday, May 2, 2010, in Wooster Community
Hospital at Wooster following a brief illness. A daughter to Anna Marie (McNutt) Martin of New Philadelphia and the late George H. Martin. Charlene was born at New Philadelphia on May 14, 1944. Charlene was a 1963 graduate of New Philadelphia High School. Following graduation she married the love of her life, and husband of 46 years, Gerald "Jerry" Zurcher on June 16, 1963. Charlene loved the Lord and knew he was her Savior.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and being
around her numerous neices and nephews. Additionally,
Charlene loved gardening and painting outdoor scenery
which contained wildlife, and helping others. Charlene also had a passion for animals and cared for her pets as if they were her own children. For a number of years Charlene was employed as a seamstress for the former D&D Prince Beaderman, and Bobby Brooks sewing factory prior to starting her own cleaning company, CZ's Best Cleaning which she and Jerry operated for 18 years prior to retiring. In addition to her husband and mother, Charlene leaves behind a family that includes four brothers. Gene Martin, Dwight Martin, Jimmy (Chris) Martin, all of New Philadephia and George (Tony) Martin Jr. of Canton; three sisters, Donna Linard of New Philadelphia, Doris (Jim) Hass and Ruth M. Martin, all of Dover; a sister-in-law, Judy Martin of New Philadelphia; a brother-in-law, Earl (Suzy) Zurcher of Parkersburg, W.Va; and a mother-in-law, Delores Zurcher of New Philadelphia. Numerous neices and nephews and friends complete the family. In addition to her father, Charlene was preceded in death by two brothers, Edgar Martin and Gerald Martin; two sisters-in-law, Patricia Martin and Millie Martin; two brothers-in-law, Sonny Martin and Gene Linard; as well as her father-in-law, Wilbert Zurcher. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 6, 2010,
from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home
