McNutt, 69, of Folsam Rd. NW, Carrollton, died Saturday afternoon in Aultman Hospital at Canton after suffering an apparent heart attack in his home. Born Sept.16, 1926 in Mineral City, he was a son of the late Samuel and Ina Belle Hudnell McNutt. He was a World War II Army veteran and a 35-year employee of the Timken Company, retiring in 1985. He was a member of Baxter's Ridge Methodist Church near Carrollton and a 35-year member of the Golden Circle Club in Canton. He is survived by his wife, the former Mary Nicholas, whom he married Sept. 29,1951; a daughter, Mrs. Thompson (Donna) Hanna of Carrollton; two grandaughters; and four sisters, Ruby Beckett and Kathleen Nicholas of Carrollton, Betty Smitley of Mineral City and Lenora Hudnell of Albany, O. He is also survived by an extended family of several half-brothers and sisters. He was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Sweeney-Dodds Funeral Home of Carrollton with Pastor Ralph Keck officiating. Burial will be in the Baxter's Ridge Cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday afternoon informally and Monday evening from 7 to 9 with the family present."4 He was buried at Baxters Ridge Cemetery, New Harrisburg, Carroll County, Ohio.1,3

Ross, on 5 January 1938 at Columbus, Franklin County, Ohio.1 Letha Lavina McNutt became Carol Diane Ross's adoptive mother in 1947.1 Letha Lavina McNutt became Ted Ross's adoptive mother in 1949.1 Letha Lavina McNutt died on 13 February 1972 at Highland Hospital, Oakland, Alameda County, California, at age 61.1 Her obituary read, "Visitation for Mrs. Letha L. Ross, 61, of 1115 W. Barry, will be held after noon Wednesday at the Hursen Undertakers, 929 W. Belmont. Mrs. Ross died Sunday in Oakland, Calif. She was the wife of the Rev. Harry W. Ross, pastor of the Pillar of Fire Church, 1115 W Barry. Other survivors incluse a daughter, Mrs. Diane McKeen, and a son, Teddy. Services will be held later this week in Zarephath, N.J."2

     Francis Dale McNutt Jr. was born on 29 June 1933 at Carpenter/Tuppers Plains, Meigs County, Ohio.1 He was the son of Ira Francis McNutt Sr. and Margaret Elizabeth Griffith.1 Francis Dale McNutt Jr. became Rose Marie McNutt's adoptive father on 22 June 1995 at Tuscarawas County, Ohio.1 Francis Dale McNutt Jr. died on 31 July 2008 at Dover Union Hospital, Dover, Tuscarawas County, Ohio, at age 75.2 His obituary read, "Francis D. McNutt, age 75, of Mineral City went home to be with his Lord Thursday afternoon in Union Hospital. Born 1933 in Tuppers Plains, Meigs Co., O., a son of the late Ira and Margaret (Griffith) McNutt, he had been a Mineral City resident for the last 15 years. Frances was an ordained minister and had served as Pastor at Trinity Miracle Revival Center in Urhichsville for about 6 years , and previously worked at Sparta Ceramic for 15 years and had been Mayor of Barnhill, O. for four years. He attended Sandy Valley Church of God and had served with the U.S.Army. Francis loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman, and his main desire was to preach. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Lester Kauffman, five sisters and seven brothers. He is survived by his wife, Willa Fern (Burton) McNutt with whom he celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary on March 31; 10 children and their spouses, Frances Fern and Don Johnson, Kathy Young and Nathanael McNutt all of Fresno, Robert and Amy McNutt and Stephen and Janet McNutt, all of Akron, Sandra and Lawrence Mann of Uhichsville, Cynthia and James Stout of Barnhill, Philip McNutt of Malaga Wash., Jerry McNutt of Louisville, Ky., and Rose Marie McNutt of the home; one sister Flora Long of New Philadelphia; his twin brother and sister-in-law Franklin and Norma McNutt of Magnolia; 19 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; special neice Carol Sue McNutt; special cousin, Mark Griffith; and former son-in-law, James Young. His family meant the world to Francis. A celebration of his life will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the Sandy Valley Church of God with his daughter, Pastor Sandra Mann and Pastor Clifford Hughes officiating. Interment will be in Dutch Valley Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 6-8 p.m. in the Frinefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia. In leiu of flowers, contributions in Mr. McNutt's name may be made to the Francis D. McNutt Trust, c/o Directions Credit Union, 1127 4th ST. NW, New Philadelphia,O. 44663."2 He was buried at Dutch Valley Cemetery, Rush Township, Tuscarawas County, Ohio.1
