Shaner, age 65, of Louisville, died Tuesday evening in Aultman Hospital following a brief illness. Born on Glouster, OH, and had lived in Canton most of her life. A graduate of Canton South High School and attended Canton Actual Business College. A retired legal secretary. She attended First Friends Church. Preceded in death by her husband, Stanley "Roy" Shaner, Feb 3, 1983; two sisters; five brothers. Survived by two daughters, Mrs. James (Wanda) Alexander of Louisville and Mrs. Alan (Penny) Rante of North Canton; one son, Stanley L. Brown died on 1 November 2007 at Mercy Medical Center, Canton, Stark County, Ohio, at age 54.1 Her obituary read, "Kathleen A. Mann, age 54, of Canton, passed away unexpectedly, on Thursday, November 1, 2007 in Mercy Medical Center. She was born in Alliance, Ohio on March 11, 1953. Kathkeen was a member of Trinity Gospel Temple and the McKinley Eagle's Aerie #2370. She enjoyed baking and had a great sense of humor. She deeply loved her grandchildren and will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister. Kathleen was preceded in death by her mother Delores Brown and a granddaughter Anna Dekowski. Survivors include her loving husband of 21 years Richard T. Mann; two daughters and son-in-law Annette and Wayland Faulkner and Christine and Richard Dekowski; grandchildren Jaylin and Jarred Clax, Nyla Faulkner, Emma and Nicholas Dekowski; four sisters Jane (Scott) Schrader, Mary Tessanne, Patty (Dean) Elsass and Elizabeth (Brian) BAir;
10 neices and nephews and her faithful dog Sydney. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11 am in the Reed funeral home Canton Chapel with the Rev. Jeanne Charlikowskyi officiating. Calling hours will be Monday fron 6-8 pm in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Reed Funeral Home to help the family defray expense."2 She was buried at Bergholz Cemetery, Bergholz, Jefferson County, Ohio.1

She was born on July 25, 1927 to the late Harlan and Ellen Duncan. Edith was a volunteer at Sunbridge Nursing Home. She was a wonderful, loving mother who is truly loved and will be greatly missed. Edith was proceded in death by her husband, Wesley Keirns; and infant son, Wesley Otis Keirns. Keirns, 87, of Millfield Route 1 was dead on arrival at O'Bleness Memorial Hospital early Thursday. Born in Athens County, he was a son of the late Marvin and Sarah Keirns.
