     Schuyler Colefax Shaner was born on 30 September 1868 at Homer Township, Morgan County, Ohio.^1,2 He married Hulda Lavina Smith on 23 December 1893 at at the bride's home, Morgan County, Ohio.¹ Schuyler Colefax Shaner died on 25 April 1940 at Magnolia, Stark County, Ohio, at age 71.^1,2 His obituary read, "Schuyler Shaner, 71, died Thursday after a long illness. He was a member of Methodist church at Hemlock. Surviving are his widow, Hulda; three sons, Elmer of Glouster, Frank of the East Sparta-Canton rd and Roy at home; Five daughters, Mrs. Carrie Acker of Murray City, Mrs. Almeda Thorp of Trumbull, Mrs. Sylvia Osmon of Massillon, Mrs. Hylda Nohl of Columbus and Mrs. May Meadows of Canton; 27 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a brother and two sisters. Services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the McCreery parlors at East Sparta in charge of Rev. J.A. Hopkins. Burial will be in Melsheimer cemetery. Friends may call at the parlors after 2 p.m. Saturday."³ He was buried at Melscheimer Cemetery, Pike Township, Stark County, Ohio.²

Funeral services will be held tonight at 7 at the home and burial will be in Beech Grove cemetery in Perry County, Rev. W. A. Sayre in charge."      Eldon Ray Shaner was born on 8 October 1932.¹ He was the son of Daniel Francis Shaner and Oresta Orlena McNutt.¹ Eldon Ray Shaner married Rena Alice Neer, daughter of Harold Raymond Neer and Mary Mildred Faulkner, on 22 August 1952 at Urbana, Champaign County, Ohio.¹

     Rena Alice Neer was born on 11 March 1933 at Urbana, Champaign County, Ohio.¹ She was the daughter of Harold Raymond Neer and Mary Mildred Faulkner.¹ Rena Alice Neer married Eldon Ray Shaner, son of Daniel Francis Shaner and Oresta Orlena McNutt, on 22 August 1952 at Urbana, Champaign County, Ohio.¹

     Harold Raymond Neer was born on 5 October 1902 at Ohio.² He died in 1993.³

     Mary Mildred Faulkner was born on 10 February 1904 at Ohio.² She died on 28 August 1995 at age 91.²
