Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Elsie Sharpshire of Hartville, Mo., Mrs. Edith Keirns of Chauncey, Mrs. Agnes Walker of Stone Creek, Mrs. Garnet Byers of Millfield and Mrs. Thelma Duncan of Glouster Route 2; 27 grandchildren and 23 greatgrandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Agnes Rowen of Athens and Mrs. Edith Robinson of Glouster. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Stone-Matheney Funeral Home

     Russell Glenn Edwards was born on 13 March 1913 at Rush Township, Tuscarawas County, Ohio.1,2 He was the son of Mont Calm Edwards and Elva Ida Hasseman.1 Russell Glenn Edwards was Cory Shane Stout's birth father in Cory Shane's adoption to an unknown person.1 Russell Glenn Edwards married first Mary Evelyn Kinsey on 4 March 1936.1,2 Russell Glenn Edwards died on 23 August 1987 at Timken Mercy Medical Center, Canton, Stark County, Ohio, at age 74.1,2 His obituary read, "Russell Glenn Edwards, 74, of RD 2 died Sunday in Timken Mercy Medical Center at Canton after a three-week illness. Born here, he was a son of the late Mont C.
and Elva Ida Hasseman Edwards. He was a former Rush Township trustee and equipment operator, formerly owned Russ's Service Station in Rush Township and was a timber cutter. He was a charter member of the Rush Township Volunteer Fire
Department and attended Full Gospel Pentecostal Church of Gnadenhutten and Rush Community Church of the Nazarene. On March 4, 1936, he married the former Mary Evelyn Kinsey, who died April 8, 1981. On Nov 7, 1984, he married the former Cynthia J. McNutt, who survives along with four sons and four
daughters, Monte G. of the home, Ronald G. and Mrs. Carl (Linda Ann) Cox of here, R Timothy of Leesville, James L. of New Philadelphia, Mrs. Glenna J. Fisher of Dover, Mrs. Nancy Scoggin of Gahanna and Mrs. Joe (Carolyn N.) Klimaszewski of Philadelphia, Pa; 26 grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. A son and three brothers are deceased. Services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the Uhrich-Hostettler Funeral Home with the Rev. Roger Ward officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Burial Park at New Philadelphia.
