     Mary Margaret Hammond was born on 27 May 1883 at Jackson County, Ohio.1 She was the daughter of Oliver Crumwell Hammond and Martha Dirth.1 Mary Margaret Hammond married Marshall Moore McNutt, son of Henry John McNutt and Durinda Ellen Stanley, on 24 June 1903 at Athens, Athens County, Ohio.1 Mary Margaret Hammond died on 2 May 1937 at Greens Run, Athens County, Ohio, at age 53.1 Her obituary read, "Mrs. Mary McNutt, age 54, wife of Marshal McNutt of Greens Run, died at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus Sunday at midnight. She was taken to the hospital Friday and underwent a surgical operation Saturday morning. Mrs. McNutt
was born in Jackson County; but had resided in Greens Run and vicinity for 34 years. She was the mother of 15 children, six of whom preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband and four daughters, Ellen Duncan, Chesterhill; Juanita Jacobs, Zello-Way, and Ella Erwine and Pauline at home; five sons, Oliver, Zanesville; Edward and Francis, Dover, and Everett and Harry, Glouster; a stepmother, Mrs. Ella Hammon, Greens Run; a brother, William C. Hammon, Greens Run; a sister, Mrs. Ann Collins, Glouster; and seventeen grandchildren. Mrs. McNutt was a member of the Holiness Church of Trimble. Funeral services will
be held at the Greens Run Church of Christ Wednesday afternoon at 2 p.m. Burial in Beech Grove Cemetery."1 She was buried at Beech Grove Church Cemetery, Monroe Township, Perry County, Ohio.1

     Oliver Crumwell McNutt was born on 15 July 1900 at Wellston, Jackson County, Ohio.1 He was the son of Marshall Moore McNutt and Mary Margaret Hammond.1 Oliver Crumwell McNutt was adopted from Lee Shook.1 Oliver Crumwell McNutt married Margret Inez Thompson, daughter of Joseph Thompson and Nellie Lobb, on 27 March 1920 at Athens County, Ohio.1 Oliver Crumwell McNutt married Inez u.1 Oliver Crumwell McNutt died on 15 December 1940 at Zanesville, Muskingum County, Ohio, at age 40.1 His obituary read, "Oliver C. (Benny) McNutt, 40, of 913 Muskingum Avenue, ended his life by hanging early Sunday morning in the garage at the rear of his home. Answering an anonymous call to the police that there had been a suicide
in the neighborhood Captain of Detectives Milt Stotts and Detective Edgar Rider, discovered the body at 9:15 oclock Sunday Morning. After veiwing the remains Dr. Ray McDaniels,
coroner, returned a verdict of suicide. No motive for the act was ascertained although McNutt had not been employed steadily for some time. The deceased was a former employee of the Monitor Coal Company at Darlington. He served in the Marine Corp during the first World War, and was a member of the Methodist Church at Glouster. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Inez McNutt,
of the home: two daughters, Hazel Lenora McNutt of Dover and Audrey McNutt of the home, one son Gerald McNutt and one step-son James Long, both of the home; his father Marshall McNutt, of Dover; four brothers, Edward McNutt, of Dover, Everett McNutt, of Amesville, Harry McNutt, of Glouster, and
Francis McNutt, of Zanesville, and four sisters, Mrs. Ella Duncan, of Chesterhill, Mrs Juanita Jacobs, of Loudenville, Mrs. Pauline McGrath, of Dover, and Mrs. Elva Erwine, of Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at 11 oclock Wednesday morning at the Keck Funeral Home. Additional services will be held at 1:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Free Methodist Church, Redtown, Rev. Alva Shifflet, of Trimble, officiating. Burial will be in the Taylor Ridge Cemetery. The body will remain at the funeral home till the time of the funeral."2 He was buried at Taylor Ridge Cemetery, Jacksonville, Athens County, Ohio.1

The body was brought to a local mortuary and prepared for burial. Mrs. McNutt was 28 years of age and is survived by her husband and three children--Audrey, nine years of age; Gerald, five years, and Hazel, three years. Funeral services will be held at the Redtown Free Methodist Church, Sunday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock in charge of the Rev. J. A. Hopkins of Zanesville, a former pastor of the church.      Naomi Ruth McNutt was born on 16 September 1920 at Knox County, Ohio.1,2 She was the daughter of John Wesley McNutt and Stella Margaret Hudnell.1 Naomi Ruth McNutt married Arley Emory Brooks, son of Albert Alfred Brooks and Adaline Bodkins, on 18 January 1939 at Athens County, Ohio.3 Naomi Ruth McNutt died on 12 November 1999 at Massillon, Stark County, Ohio, at age 79.1,2 Her obituary read, "Naomi Ruth Brooks, 79, of Massillon died Friday at her home following a brief illness. Born Sept. 16, 1920, in Knox County, she lived in Massillon for most of her life. She was a cook at the Republic Steel Cafe and attended Massillon
Baptist Temple. She was a member of the Massillon Senior Center and Ladies of the Moose. She was preceded in death by her parents, John W. and Stella M. (Hudnel) McNutt; three brothers, Isaac, Leo and James McNutt and a sister, Lula Hambell. Surviving are two sons, Arley E. Brooks Jr. Of Lakeville,
and Edward Brooks of Clinton; three daughters, Mrs. Gary (Maycle) Campbell Sr. of Scio, Mrs Ralph (Violet) Dunnerstick of Jackson Township and Rose Brooks Berbari of Wooster; two brothers, Marion McNutt of Nelsonville and Charles McNutt of Redtown; six sisters, Edna Taylor of Jackson, Ohio, Martha Lenigar of The Plains, Lois Sharp of Trimble, Dorothy Poole of Sanford Fla. Mildred Shaw of Strasburg and Osie Bentley of Lake Helen, Fla; 14 grandchildren; and 32 great grand children.
The funeral is at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Heitger Funeral Service Massillon Chapel with Rev. Rich Brinsley officiating. Burial is in Massilon Cemetery. Calling Hours are 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial can be made to the Mercy Meical Center Hospice, 1320 Mercy Drive N.W., Canton 44708."4 She was buried at Massillon Cemetery, Massillon, Stark County, Ohio.1,2
