Ruth Leona Warren1

     Ruth Leona Warren was born on 29 October 1911 at Nelsonville, Athens County, Ohio.1 She was the daughter of James "Henry" Warren and Lona Mae Manley.1 Ruth Leona Warren married Lloyd Ervin Patton, son of John Henry Patton and Willimina Robinson, on 22 October 1929 at Athens County, Ohio.2 Ruth Leona Warren died on 16 October 1997 at Nelsonville, Athens County, Ohio, at age 85.1 Her obituary read, "Ruth Leona Patton, 85, Nelsonville, died Thursday, Oct. 16 at Doctors Hospital, Nelsonville. Born Oct. 29, 1911, she was the daughter of the late James Henry and Loni Mae Manley Warren. A homemaker, she was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Nelsonville. Surviving are four sons, David (Marlene) Patton of Nelsonville, Jerry (Judy) Patton of Nelsonville, Michael (Norma) Patton of Nelsonville and Steve (Linda) Patton of Logan; five daughters, Gloria Buchanan of Glouster, Mrs. Ronnie (Faith) Swaim of Haydenville, Mrs. Wilbur (Linda) White of Coshocton, Mrs. Mike (Penny) Jonas of Nelsonville and Mrs. Paul (Rebecca) Kurtis of Nelsonville; and two sisters, Marie Coots of Nelsonville and Lucille Monk of Nelsonville.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Robert, Frank and Charles Warren, and a sister, Florence Pitts. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Warren-Brown Funeral Home, Nelsonville, with the Rev. Wilbur Wright officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Nelsonville. Friends may call 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 today at the funeral home."3 She was buried at Greenlawn Cemetery, Doanville, Athens County, Ohio.3
