Samuel Tanner married Sudna Elizabeth Carpenter, daughter of Solomon Carpenter Sr. and Sudna Hughes, on 28 November 1791 at Harrison, Charles City County, Virginia.² Samuel Tanner and family were the first settlers in the present day Spencer, WV. Samuel Tanner died in 1850 at Spencer, Roane County, Virginia.¹

     Elizabeth Tanner was born in 1756. She was the daughter of Edward Tanner III and Rachel u.

     James Tanner was born in 1760. He was the son of Edward Tanner III and Rachel u. James Tanner married an unknown person on 30 June 1791 at Harrison County, Virginia. He married an unknown person on 28 April 1806. He died on 20 July 1813.

     Edward Tanner was born in 1763. He was the son of Edward Tanner III and Rachel u. Edward Tanner married an unknown person on 2 September 1792 at Harrison County, Virginia. He died on 14 March 1831.

     Nancy Tanner was born on 9 October 1765. She was the daughter of Edward Tanner III and Rachel u. Nancy Tanner died on 13 December 1796 at age 31.

     Grace Louanna Dodd was born on 23 September 1905 at Marietta, Washington County, Ohio.¹ She was the daughter of Claude Guy Dodd and Lulu Elizabeth Starling.¹ Grace Louanna Dodd married Ray Remus Simmons, son of Joseph Smith Simmons and Mary Jane "Mollie" Wines, on 23 November 1924 at Akron, Summit County, Ohio.¹ Grace Louanna Dodd died on 24 September 1992 at Phoenix, Maricopa County, Arizona, at age 87.¹ She was buried at Barlow Central Cemetery, Barlow, Washington County, Ohio.¹

     Claude Guy Dodd was born on 8 March 1880 at Pennsylvania.² He died on 10 February 1915 at Ohio at age 34.²

     Alfred Allen Simmons was born on 12 July 1925 at Akron, Summit County, Ohio.¹ He was the son of Ray Remus Simmons and Grace Louanna Dodd.¹ Alfred Allen Simmons married Ann Puckett in 1943 at Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio.² Alfred Allen Simmons married Mary Ellen Gibson, daughter of Edward Thomas Gibson and Eula Ellen Jordan, on 30 August 1947 at Albuquerque, Bernalillo County, New Mexico.¹ Alfred Allen Simmons married Cleda Marie Diehl, daughter of Cornielius Diehl and Hulda Louise Anderson, on 9 May 1951 at Albuquerque, Bernalillo County, New Mexico.² Alfred Allen Simmons died on 29 December 1987 at Thousand Oaks, Ventura County, California, at age 62.¹ He was buried at Riverside National Cemetery, March Air Force Base, Riverside County, California.¹

     Lulu Elizabeth Simmons was born on 21 January 1927.¹ She was the daughter of Ray Remus Simmons and Grace Louanna Dodd.¹ Lulu Elizabeth Simmons died on 10 April 1928 at Denver, Adams County, Colorado, at age 1.² She was buried at Mt. Peace Cemetery, Akron, Summit County, Ohio.²

     Marian Agnes Simmons was born on 5 January 1929 at Spencer, Roane County, West Virginia.¹ She was the daughter of Ray Remus Simmons and Grace Louanna Dodd.¹ Marian Agnes Simmons married Edward Sanford Pugh, son of Lafayette Lee Pugh and Merle Lee Johnson, on 22 February 1946 at Rodney, Gallia County, Ohio.¹ Marian Agnes Simmons died on 3 November 2012 at Huntington, Cabell County, West Virginia, at age 83.² She was buried at National Military Cemetery, Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio.²

     David Willard Simmons was born on 22 December 1930 at Vincent, Washington County, Ohio.¹ He was the son of Ray Remus Simmons and Grace Louanna Dodd.¹ David Willard Simmons died on 10 February 1936 at a house fire, Fairfield, Greene County, Ohio, at age 5.¹ He was buried at Fairfield Cemetery, Fairborn, Greene County, Ohio.¹

     Ann Puckett married Alfred Allen Simmons, son of Ray Remus Simmons and Grace Louanna Dodd, in 1943 at Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio.¹

     Mary Ellen Gibson was born on 2 February 1925 at Collingsworth County, Texas.^2,3 She was the daughter of Edward Thomas Gibson and Eula Ellen Jordan.³ Mary Ellen Gibson married Alfred Allen Simmons, son of Ray Remus Simmons and Grace Louanna Dodd, on 30 August 1947 at Albuquerque, Bernalillo County, New Mexico.¹ Mary Ellen Gibson died on 29 September 1971 at age 46.²

     Cleda Marie Diehl was born on 24 June 1927 at Douglas, Converse County, Wyoming.² She was the daughter of Cornielius Diehl and Hulda Louise Anderson.³ Cleda Marie Diehl married Alfred Allen Simmons, son of Ray Remus Simmons and Grace Louanna Dodd, on 9 May 1951 at Albuquerque, Bernalillo County, New Mexico.² Cleda Marie Diehl died on 25 March 2005 at Vista, San Diego County, California, at age 77.²

     Edward Sanford Pugh was born on 15 May 1926 at Portsmouth, Scioto County, Ohio.² He was the son of Lafayette Lee Pugh and Merle Lee Johnson.² Edward Sanford Pugh married Marian Agnes Simmons, daughter of Ray Remus Simmons and Grace Louanna Dodd, on 22 February 1946 at Rodney, Gallia County, Ohio.¹ Edward Sanford Pugh died on 18 December 2005 at Heath, Licking County, Ohio, at age 79.^3,4 He was buried at National Military Cemetery, Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio.⁵

     Richard Kenneth Simmons was born on 21 February 1933 at Vincent, Washington County, Ohio.¹ He was the son of Ray Remus Simmons and Grace Louanna Dodd.¹ Richard Kenneth Simmons died on 10 February 1936 at a house fire, Fairfield, Greene County, Ohio, at age 2.¹ He was buried at Fairfield Cemetery, Fairborn, Greene County, Ohio.¹

     James Donald Vannoy Sr. was born on 31 January 1933 at Vienna, Wood County, West Virginia.² He was the son of James "Albert" Wiley Vannoy and Anna Mildred Napier.³ James Donald Vannoy Sr. died on 4 May 1978 at Vienna, Wood County, West Virginia, at age 45.²

     Sharon Lee Simmons was born on 25 July 1942 at Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio.¹ She was the daughter of Ray Remus Simmons and Grace Louanna Dodd.¹ Sharon Lee Simmons died on 4 August 1942 at Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio.¹ She was buried at Fairfield Cemetery, Fairborn, Greene County, Ohio.¹
