     Shirley Elizabeth Pfaff was born on 31 August 1924 at Chicora, Butler County, Pennsylvania.¹ She was the daughter of John Jacob Pfaff and Erma Marcella Double.¹ Shirley Elizabeth Pfaff died on 26 April 2003 at Pennsylvania at age 78.¹

     Arthur Roswell Armstrong was born on 21 November 1894 at New Castle, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania.¹ He was the son of Robert Wallace Armstrong and Florence Ann Moore.¹ Arthur Roswell Armstrong married Emma Hilda VanHorn, daughter of Abraham Willis VanHorn and Amanda Isabelle Jamison, on 6 December 1916.² Arthur Roswell Armstrong married Eva Belle Offutt, daughter of Nathan Alpheus Offutt and Jane Wallace, on 24 May 1973 at New Castle, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania.³ Arthur Roswell Armstrong died on 3 May 1984 at New Castle, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania, at age 89.¹ He was buried at Plain Grove Presbyterian Cemetery, Plain Grove, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania.²

     Emma Hilda VanHorn was born on 5 January 1896 at Plain Grove, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania.¹ She was the daughter of Abraham Willis VanHorn and Amanda Isabelle Jamison.¹ Emma Hilda VanHorn married Arthur Roswell Armstrong, son of Robert Wallace Armstrong and Florence Ann Moore, on 6 December 1916.¹ Emma Hilda VanHorn died on 10 September 1968 at New Castle, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania, at age 72.¹ Her obituary read, "Mrs. Arthur R. Armstrong, 72, of 602 Fairfield Ave., the former Emma Hilda Van Horn, died at 8 a.m. today in the Jameson Memorial Hospital after a month's illness. She was born in Plain Grove Jan. 5, 1896, to the late Abraham and Amanda Jameson Van horn. She married Arthur R. Armstrong Dec. 6, 1916. Mrs. Armstrong was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church, the Weingartner Bible Class and the Order of Eastern Star, Chapter 105 of New Castle. Surviving are her husband at home; a daughter, Mrs. James (Wilma) Dight of St. Marys, Pa; and three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters. Friends will be received at the Cunningham North Side Funeral Home, 2429 Wilmington Rd., from 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. A service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home by the Rev. Jackson H. Parsons of Epworth United Methodist Church. Interment will be in Plain Grove Cemetery."¹ She was buried at Plain Grove Presbyterian Cemetery, Plain Grove Township, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania.¹

     Abraham Willis VanHorn was born on 1 July 1861 at Pennsylvania.¹ He died on 31 October 1926 at Pennsylvania at age 65.¹

     Amanda Isabelle Jamison was born on 1 October 1861 at Pennsylvania.¹ She died on 14 April 1937 at Pennsylvania at age 75.¹
