McKown and Martha Ellen Ross.1 Ruth Frances McKown married Elvie Edward Helterbran, son of Charles Henry Helterbran and Stella Weaver.1 Ruth Frances McKown died on 5 June 2007 at Sewickley, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, at age 89.1 Her obituary read, "Frances R. Helterbran, 89, of Leetsdale, died Tuesday, June 5, 2007, in the Sewickley Valley Hospital. Born April 13, 1918, in Braymer, Mo., a daughter of the late Robert F. and Martha E. McKown, she was a member of the Leetsdale United Presbyterian Church and the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 77, Ambridge. She was a great seamstress and enjoyed quilting and flowers. She was a loving and kind person and will be greatly missed by all, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who she cherished and they loved her very much in return. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elvie E. Helterbran; a son, Leslie; a great-grandson, Connor; two brothers, Cecil and Himmie McKown; a sister, Gladys Arnold, and a former daughter-in-law, Nancy Thomas. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Roseanne Helterbran, Baden; five grandchildren, Dennis Helterbran and his wife Elizabeth, Debbie Yankello and her husband Jerry, Tracey Blosnick and her husband Frank, Patricia Panek and her husband Dr. Chris Panek, and Michael Helterbran; seven great-grandchildren, Gabrielle, Madison, Brian, Brandon, Patrick, Hayden and Piper; a daughter-in-law, Patricia Helterbran, Tall Timers, Md.,and a foster daughter, the Rev. Dorothy Mellott and her husband the Rev. Patrick Mellott, in Virginia, and their children and grandchildren. Friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the JOHN SYKA FUNERAL HOME INC., 833 Kennedy Drive, Ambridge, where a service will be conducted Friday at 11 a.m., by her pastor, the Rev. Walt Pietschmann. Interment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park."1 She was buried at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Daugherty Township, Beaver County, Pennsylvania.1
