Lodge #37 where he founded the Elkteens Youth Group. He was also a 32nd Degree Mason with South Gate-Potter Lodge #782. Dick was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Paul Patton and Bernard Patton; and sister, Naomi Von Schriltz. Dick is survived by wife of 66 years, Mary T. Patton; daughters, Carla L. Steele of Pickerington and Susan C. (Stephen) Carr of Lancaster. Sons, Samuel L. (Kathy) Patton of Groveport and Richard L. (Carol) Patton Jr. of Ashville. Sister-in-law, Ruth Patton; nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Visitation will be will be Sunday, August 20, 2017 from 4-7:00 pm with a Masonic Service beginning at 6:30pm at DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 550 Hill Rd N., Pickerington. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 am on Monday, August 21, 2017 at Seton Parish Catholic Church, 600 Hill Rd. N., Pickerington. Procession will follow with mausoleum committal service at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, Pataskala followed by reception at Seton Parish Church."1
