She was born June 19, 1918, in Newton, W. Va. Preceded in death by her husband, Opie Gay Schoolcraft; parents, Samuel and Dorothy (McKown) Noe; foster parents, Oscar and Lorenie Curtis; brothers, McDonald, Hubert, and Hildreth Noe, Paul, Gene, and Porter McQuain; grandson, Jeffrey Schoolcraft; and great-granddaughter, Olivia Nicholson, she is survived by children, Carol (Donald) Gray, Jerell (Roberta) Schoolcraft, and Linda (Richard) Rennick; 12 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; sister, Chloe Virginia Buell; and brother, George McQuain. Ella worked at Akron General Medical Center and the Sheraton Hotel in downtown Akron. She was also a Salvation Army volunteer at the Women's Home League. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Adams Mason Memorial Chapel, 791 E. Market St., Akron, Ohio. Friends may call from 6 to 8 TONIGHT. Burial will be at Hillside Memorial Park.
