     Pauline Hazel Pence was born on 16 May 1912 at West Virginia.¹ She was the daughter of Roy Roscoe Pence and Ivy Dulcie McKown.¹ Pauline Hazel Pence married Paul Elmer Harlow, son of William H. Harlow and Julia V. Cox, in 1931 at Roane County, West Virginia.¹ Pauline Hazel Pence died on 6 December 2006 at Spencer, Roane County, West Virginia, at age 94.¹ Her obituary read, "Pauline Hazel Pence Harlow, 94, of Spencer, W.Va., died Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2006. Born May 16, 1912, she was the daughter of Roy R. and Dulcie McKown Pence. She married Paul E. Harlow on Dec. 24, 1931, and had two sons, Gordon (Jackie) Harlow of Point Pleasant, W.Va., and Richard (Ethel) Harlow of Spencer. Pauline has one grandson, Michael Harlow of Point Pleasant; and four granddaughters, Kathy (Gary) Dunn of Gallipolis Ferry, W.Va., Sue Harlow of Vienna, Kimberly (Sean) Simon of Spencer and Debra (Henry) Gittleman of Canberra, Australia. She has seven great-grandchildren, Laura Winston, Natalie Dunn, Stephen Dunn, Eric Gittleman, Aaron Simon, Joshua Gittleman and Garrett Simon. She also has four great-great-grandchildren, Nathaniel Winston, Kayleigh Winston, Rachael Dunn and Shannon Dunn. She also had many nieces and nephews. Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Dulcie Pence; her husband, Paul Harlow; a sister, Kathleen Young; and a brother, Emerson (Hank) Pence.
A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at the Eventide Cemetery in Spencer with the Rev. Leon Strickland officiating. There will be no visitation. The family suggests donations to the Roane General Hospital SNF Unit, 200 Hospital Drive, Spencer, WV 25276. Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home, Spencer, is in charge of arrangements."² She was buried at Eventide Cemetery, Spencer, Roane County, West Virginia.²

     Sulla McKown was born on 7 August 1894 at Geary, Roane County, West Virginia.¹ She was the daughter of Anderson Monroe McKown and Ida Florence Short.¹ Sulla McKown married Ira Sherman Knight, son of James Kenneth Knight and Maud Florence Chambers, on 7 October 1916 at Roane County, West Virginia.¹ Sulla McKown died on 16 June 1979 at Spencer, Roane County, West Virginia, at age 84.¹

     Ira Sherman Knight was born on 15 March 1891 at Roane County, West Virginia.¹ He was the son of James Kenneth Knight and Maud Florence Chambers.¹ Ira Sherman Knight married Sulla McKown, daughter of Anderson Monroe McKown and Ida Florence Short, on 7 October 1916 at Roane County, West Virginia.¹ Ira Sherman Knight died on 14 November 1963 at Charleston, Kanawha County, West Virginia, at age 72.¹

     James Kenneth Knight was born on 28 December 1860 at Virginia.¹ He died on 12 July 1931 at West Virginia at age 70.¹

     Maud Florence Chambers was born on 12 November 1864 at Virginia.¹ She died on 28 February 1931 at West Virginia at age 66.¹

     Sherman Knight was born on 26 October 1921 at Spencer, Roane County, West Virginia.¹ He was the son of Ira Sherman Knight and Sulla McKown.¹ Sherman Knight married Martha Lee Runnion, daughter of Alonzo Runnion and Adella Ida Fox, on 29 August 1942 at Greenview, Boone County, West Virginia.¹ Sherman Knight died on 4 October 1974 at South Charleston, Kanawha County, West Virginia, at age 52.¹

     Martha Lee Runnion was born on 22 February 1922 at Spencer, Roane County, West Virginia.¹ She was the daughter of Alonzo Runnion and Adella Ida Fox.¹ Martha Lee Runnion married Sherman Knight, son of Ira Sherman Knight and Sulla McKown, on 29 August 1942 at Greenview, Boone County, West Virginia.¹ Martha Lee Runnion died on 5 July 2007 at Charleston, Kanawha County, West Virginia, at age 85.¹

     Alonzo Runnion was born on 9 June 1885 at West Virginia.¹ He died on 20 June 1947 at West Virginia at age 62.¹

     Adella Ida Fox was born on 9 November 1888 at West Virginia.¹ She died on 24 September 1933 at West Virginia at age 44.¹

     Larry Stephen Knight was born on 5 August 1943 at Spencer, Roane County, West Virginia.¹ He was the son of Sherman Knight and Martha Lee Runnion.¹ Larry Stephen Knight died on 13 May 2012 at Rock Castle, Jackson County, West Virginia, at age 68.¹

     Willa June Knight was born on 24 February 1928 at Spencer, Roane County, West Virginia.¹ She was the daughter of Ira Sherman Knight and Sulla McKown.¹ Willa June Knight married Darris Gene Kirkhart, son of James Edward Kirkhart and Elsie F. Ledsome, in 1946 at Roane County, West Virginia.¹ Willa June Knight died on 11 August 2001 at Fairfax, Virginia, at age 73.¹

     Darris Gene Kirkhart was born on 15 March 1922 at West Virginia.¹ He was the son of James Edward Kirkhart and Elsie F. Ledsome.¹ Darris Gene Kirkhart married Willa June Knight, daughter of Ira Sherman Knight and Sulla McKown, in 1946 at Roane County, West Virginia.¹ Darris Gene Kirkhart died on 10 May 1962 at Spencer, Roane County, West Virginia, at age 40.¹

     James Edward Kirkhart was born on 21 March 1893 at West Virginia.¹ He died on 28 April 1946 at West Virginia at age 53.¹
