     William H. VanZant was born on 11 October 1867 at Illinois.1 He was the son of John William VanZant and Adala Frances Kenison.1 William H. VanZant married Margaret "Maggie" Alveretta Thompson, daughter of Amos Thompson and Martha Jane Mosgrove, on 6 November 1889 at Polk County, Iowa.2 William H. VanZant died on 7 July 1907 at age 39.1
