Rick, son of Christian Rick and Neva Estine Daniels, on 22 January 1939 at Clinton, Clinton County, Illinois.2 Florence L. Imel died on 22 September 2004 at Morrison, Whiteside County, Illinois, at age 88.1 Her obituary read, "FLORENCE L. (IMEL) RICK, 88, of Morrison, died Wednesday at her home. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Morrison United Methodist Church. The service will be preceded by a 10:15 a.m. family prayer service at the church. The Rev. Daniel Swinson, pastor of the Morrison United Methodist Church, will be officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Morrison Chapel of Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Grove Hill Cemetery, Morrison. She was born April 24, 1916, in Chadwick, Ill., to Roscoe and Emma (Miner) Imel. She married Glenn L. Rick on Jan. 22, 1939, in Clinton. He died in 1975. She was a 1934 graduate of Morrison High School. She graduated from Rock Island (Ill.) Business College in 1936. She was employed with A.J. Putnam Midwest Chemical in Galesburg, Ill., and then Stamping and Enameling in Galesburg and Morrison. Following her marriage, she was employed with Morrison Realty as a secretary and later as a licensed real estate agent. She also worked as a real estate agent with The Tenboer Agency. Most recently, she was employed with Eizenga Financial Services and E&S Tax Service in Morrison. She and her husband farmed in rural Morrison. She was a member of the Morrison United Methodist Church and former member of Lakeview Country Club in Sterling, Ill. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Emily (Dick) Tadsen of Carroll, Mrs. Linda (Lew) Elijah of Stanton, Mich., and Mrs. Sue (Ron) Williams of Morrison; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Memorials will be established. She was preceded in death by her husband and one brother."2
