Hicks, son of Owen Lewis Hicks and Elizabeth Ellen Summers, on 4 October 1946 at Roane County, West Virginia.³ Sarah Jane Carpenter died on 20 February 1966 at Spencer, Roane County, West Virginia, at age 74.^1,2
