Phillip was born July 3, 1941 to Eithel and Zelma Teegarden in Lawson, Mo. Phillip had lived in Lawson his entire life. He drove a dump truck for Vester Cates Ditching for over 50 years. Phillip had been on the Lawson Fire Department. He enjoyed racing, John Deere tractors and big trucks. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Geneva; and brother, Johnny Teegarden. He is survived by a daughter, Cindy (David) Daniel; sons, Billy and Brian Teegarden; lifelong friend, Vester Cates and his family. Graveside service will be 1:00 p.m., December 20, 2015 at Lawson Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggest contributions to Lawson Fire Department. Geneva was born on Feb. 28, 1950. She grew up in Waldron MO, and attended Park Hill High School. Geneva married Phillip Teegarden in 2004, and resided in Lawson at the Senior Citizens Housing with their beloved dog, Precious. Geneva attended church in Cameron MO. She was active in her community and known for her loving consideration for others. Geneva was especially proud of her bountiful vegetable garden and reading collection, which she generously shared with others. She worked at Fabri Quilt, Inc. in NKC for 22 years. Geneva was preceded in death by her parents, Jobie and Elsie ( Martin) Chronister and three siblings; Linda Faye Karriker, Anita Loraine Chronister and Elisie Marie Chronister. She is survived by her husband Phillip Teegarden of the home, a step-daughter, Cindy Yost and husband David and children of Chambridge MD; two step-sons Billy Teegarden of FL. and Brian Teegarden of Las Vegas; NV; four brothers: Ronald, Ben, Dan (wife Bobbi) and Gary Chronister; brother-in-law Fred Teegarden; aunt Hazel Chronister; uncle and aunt, Clifford and Gail Chronisster; uncle Lawrence Carter; six nieces and nephews; as well as several cousins and dear friends. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 21, at 10am at the Lawson Cemetery in Lawson, MO. Arrangements under the direction of Polley Funeral Home, Lawson, MO. 816-580-7704."1
