     Ola Laura Dyke was born on 21 June 1918 at Clarkson, Columbiana County, Ohio.1 She was the daughter of Sylvester Dyke and Jane Mae McCoy.1 Ola Laura Dyke married William Anderson Russell, son of Ralph Leroy Russell and Rhoda Phay Lambright, on 30 March 1938 at Chester, Hancock County, West Virginia.1 Ola Laura Dyke died on 1 April 2007 at Salem Community Hospital, Salem, Columbiana County, Ohio, at age 88.1 Her obituary read, "COLUMBIANA — Ola Laura Russell, a lifelong resident of the Columbiana area, died at 9:20 p.m. Sunday at the Salem Community Hospital. Ola was born June 21, 1918 in Clarkson, Ohio, a daughter of S. George and Jane McCoy Dyke. She was baptized in the Clarkson Presbyterian Church. She married William Anderson Russell on March, 30, 1938, in Chester, W.V. After 67 years of marriage, Mr. Russell preceded her in death in 2006.
Mrs. Russell owned and operated Ola's Beauty Salon in Columbiana for 34 years. Surviving are a daughter, Patricia May Russell of Salem; two sons, William Russell of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Gary Russell of Columbiana; two sisters, Mrs. Thelma (Voldemars) Apinis and Mrs. Zelma Russell, both of Columbiana; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Warrick-Kummer Funeral Home, Columbiana with Mr. Clarence Mansfield, Minister, officiating. Burial will follow in Columbiana Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday."1 She was buried at Columbiana Cemetery, Columbiana, Columbiana County, Ohio.1

     James Russell Fry was born on 4 October 1918 at Petersburg, Mahoning County, Ohio.2 He was the son of John Howard Fry and Esther Lillian Hall.1 James Russell Fry married Naida Bernice Anderson, daughter of Jack W. Anderson and Annie Bell Vaughan, on 9 October 1944 at Petersburg, Mahoning County, Ohio.3 James Russell Fry died on 26 January 2005 at Holland, Bell County, Texas, at age 86.2 His obituary read, "James Russell Fry, Sr., 86 of Holland passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2005 at his home. Graveside services will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 29 at Fairview Cemetery in Hubbard with Rev. Jerry Irvin officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Friday at Wade Funeral Home in Hubbard. Mr. Fry was born October 14, 1918 in Petersburg, Ohio, one of seven children born to John and Esther (Hall) Fry. Mr Fry was a former lumber yard manager in New Middletown, Ohio and also served as fire chief of the Petersburg, Ohio VFD. In Texas, he was a former resident of Hubbard and Belton and was also an antique dealer and owned and operated J&N Antiques, Bix Furniture Stripping and Recollection Antiques. Mr. Fry was a Methodist and an Army veteran, having served in WW II. He was preceded in death by his wife, Naida (Anderson) Fry in 1985. Wade Funeral Home, Hubbard, Texas.
Published in the Hubbard, Temple and Holland, Texas newspapers and the Youngstown Vindicator, Youngstown, Ohio. Owned and operated Bix Furniture Restoration and J & N Antiques on Rt. 170, Petersburg, OH, about a half of a mile south of Petersburg going towards Unity, OH. Prior to that, he managed Ohlin Bros. Lumber and Hardware, New Middletown, OH. In the early 1950's he drove truck and delivered brick and block for Ed Emory in Petersburg, OH. In the 1960's he and his wife, Naida, bought Ed Emory's original business location in Petersburg, OH and opened the original J & N antique shop. They bought Miller McKinney's farm on St. Rte. 170 and moved their antique shop there in 1968. About 1980, Naida opened a shop in Salado, Texas and stayed with her daughter, Patsy, until he sold the Ohio shop and farm and completely moved to Texas in 1984. Naida died in 1985 and he moved to Holland, TX and resided there until his death in 2005. He was still active and travelling and buying and selling antiques until mid-2004."2 He was buried at Fairview Cemetery, Hubbard, Hill County, Texas.2

     Ethel Faye Fry was born on 25 February 1924 at Petersburg, Mahoning County, Ohio.2,3 She was the daughter of John Howard Fry and Esther Lillian Hall.1 Ethel Faye Fry married Vernon Adin Kimble, son of Clarence Baxter Kimble and Anna Orine Dellinger.4 Ethel Faye Fry married Cyril F. Morgan, son of Thomas L. Morgan and Lily Florence Hutchings, on 12 April 1958 at Winchester, Virginia.5 Ethel Faye Fry married Donald Carl Best, son of Elam Dille Best and Anna Martha Barger, before 1987.2,4 Ethel Faye Fry married Lee Siegel.1,4 Ethel Faye Fry died on 12 August 2008 at Columbiana County, Ohio, at age 84.6,3 Her obituary read, "Ethel Faye Siegel, 84, of New Middletown, passed away at 3:45 a.m. of complications of pancreatic cancer on Tuesday, August 12, 2008. Mrs. Siegel was born in Petersburg, Ohio on February 25, 1924, the daughter of Howard and Esther (Hall) Fry. Ethel was a life long area resident. She had previously worked at Impex plastics of North Lima as a factory worker for 10 years. Ethel enjoyed reading, working in her yard, collecting bears, puzzles, playing cards, fishing and going to Mountaineer. Mrs. Siegel was preceded in death on November 22, 1987 by her husband Donald C. Best. Ethel is survived by one daughter, Connie (Gary) Seacrist of Chardon, Ohio; two sons, Tim (Cindy) Kimble of Portland, Oregon and Randy (Beth) Kimble of Canfield, Ohio; nine grandchildren, Tammy (Jay) Kumler, Mike (Sue) Seacrist, Heather (Jordan) Placie, Nate (Shellene) Seacrist, Lindsey (Matt) Snodgrass, Hayley Kimble, Dan (Casey) Morgan, Jeremy Morgan, Trever Morgan; and by 14 great-grandchildren. Ethel was preceded in death by one son, Danny Morgan; three sisters, Mildred Dey, Margaret Moore, Edna Jones and by three brothers, James Fry, Raymond Fry and William Fry. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 15, 2008, at the Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in North Lima. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, August 14, 2008 and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Petersburg Cemetery."2 She was buried at Petersburg Cemetery, Petersburg, Mahoning County, Ohio.2

     Lester Veon Moore was born on 20 April 1908 at Fallston, Beaver County, Pennsylvania.1 He was the son of John Veon Moore and Mary Alma Shearer.1 Lester Veon Moore married Margaret Wilma Fry, daughter of John Howard Fry and Esther Lillian Hall, on 30 September 1940.2 Lester Veon Moore died on 22 January 1977 at Petersburg, Mahoning County, Ohio, at age 68.1 His obituary read, "Petersburg - services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Cunningham Funeral Home, Bessemer, Pa, for Lester D Moore, 68, of 157 High St, former Petersburg Fire Chief, who died Saturday evening in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Youngstown, after a seven week illness. Mr Moore was born April 20,1908 in Falston, Pa, a son of John and Mary Shearer Moore. He was a self employed mechanic who had worked on tractors for a number of area farmers, He had served as fire chief of Petersburg 24 years and was a member of the Bible Presbyterian Church of Enon Valley, Pa. Besides his wife, the former Margaret Fry, he leaves three daughters, Mrs Nancy Gossard and Mrs Marcia Cetor, both of Petersburg, and Mrs Leslie Wire of New Middletown, four sisters, Mrs Margaret Hammond, Mrs Dorothy Hammond and Mrs Ruth Godwin, all of Beaver Falls Pa. and Miss Mary Moore of Hendersonville, NC. three brothers, John of Lookout Mountain, Tenn, Wilbert of Beaver Falls, Pa, and Chester of Enon Valley, Pa and several grandchildren. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. The family requests that material tributes take the form of contributions to the Springfied Township Rescue Squad.
