     Virginia Ann McNees was born on 23 November 1926 at Chambersburg, Franklin County, Pennsylvania.2 She was the daughter of Wayne Anthony McNees and Miriam Virginia Simmers.2 Virginia Ann McNees married first Don Ray Loflin, son of Ray Harry Loflin and Mary Phillips, on 27 March 1946 at Columbia, Richland County, South Carolina.2 Virginia Ann McNees married second Eugene Max Ellison, son of John Augustus Ellison and Laura Ellen Smith, on 17 July 1955 at Tazewell, Tazewell County, Virginia.2 Virginia Ann McNees died on 10 February 2009 at Mechanicsville, Hanover County, Virginia, at age 82.3,4 Her obituary read, "Virginia Ann Loflin Ellison, of Mechanicsville, formerly of Roanoke, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2009. She was the daughter of the late Wayne and Miriam McNees and the widow of Eugene Max Ellison. She was also preceded in death by her son, D. Ray Loflin Sr., and sister, Rose Lester. Surviving are daughter, Cathy L. Burch; son, Donald Wayne "Butch" Loflin and wife, Anne, of Arkansas; grandchildren, Jacquelyn Burch, Ricky Burch III, D. Ray Loflin Jr. and wife, Margaret, and Cindy Porter; three great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and one nephew, Mark Lester; and extended family, Rick Burch Jr., and Pat and Herbert Hudgins. Family received friends Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2009 3 at the Mechanicsville Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 8014 Lee-Davis Road, where services were held. Graveside services were held in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in Roanoke. Memorials to Advent Christian Church, Mechanicsville.3 She was buried at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Roanoke, Roanoke City, Virginia.3
