     Sarabelle McNees was born on 27 June 1926 at Enon Valley, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania.2,3 She was the daughter of John H. McNees and Sara Helen Dutch.2 Sarabelle McNees married Frank Lester Hogue, son of Frank Logan Hogue and Mary May White, on 1 June 1946 at Enon Valley, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania.2,4 Sarabelle McNees died on 2 January 2009 at New Castle, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania, at age 82.3 Her obituary read, "Sarabelle McNees Hogue quietly passed into glory on Friday, Jan. 2, 2009. She was a resident of Enon Valley for the first 72 years of her life before moving to New Castle in 1998. For the past 8 1/2 months, she was a resident of Jameson Care Center, Wilmington Road, New Castle. Born on June 27, 1926, in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late John H. McNees and Sarah Helen Dutch McNees. She was also preceded in death by her stepmother, Mildred H. McNees, and her brother, Curtis McNees.She married Frank Lester Hogue on June 1, 1946. His death on Jan. 23, 2005, brought an end to 59 years of loving marriage. She was a graduate of East Palestine High School, East Palestine, Ohio. She was a devoted homemaker. For many years, she unselfishly cared for her aunt, Belle Inboden, and her stepmother, Mildred McNees. She will be sadly missed by her loving family and those who knew her for her caring heart and dedicated, selfless acts of kindness. She attended First Baptist Church, New Castle. She was a former member of Bible Presbyterian Church in Enon Valley. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Ron and Nancy Hogue of Bessemer and Greg and Amy Hogue of Enon Valley; four grandchildren, Mark and Rachel Hogue, both of Bessemer, Tom Hogue and his wife, Gretchen, of Enon Valley, Mrs. Beth (Aaron) Blum of Beaver Falls; and one great-granddaughter, Addison, daughter of Tom and Gretchen. Special thanks is extended to the administration, nursing and care staff of both Jameson Care Center and Jameson Hospice. Calling hours are 2 to 6 p.m. on Sunday at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, 2429 Wilmington Road. A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Jan. 5 at the funeral home. The Rev. John Yergan will officiate. Burial will be in Little Beaver Cemetery, Enon Valley.It is the family's desire that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to First Baptist Church, 984, W. Maitland Lane, New Castle, Pa. 16105."5 She was buried at Little Beaver Cemetery, Enon Valley, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania.3

     Frank Lester Hogue was born on 22 August 1924 at New Castle, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania.2,3 He was the son of Frank Logan Hogue and Mary May White.2 Frank Lester Hogue married Sarabelle McNees, daughter of John H. McNees and Sara Helen Dutch, on 1 June 1946 at Enon Valley, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania.2,4 Frank Lester Hogue died on 23 January 2005 at Jameson Hospital North, New Castle, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania, at age 80.3,4 His obituary read, "Frank Lester Hogue, 80, of 3515 Meadowview Blvd., New Castle, Pa., died Sunday, Jan. 23, 2005, at 6 p.m. in Jameson Hospital North. Born Aug. 22, 1924, in New Castle, a son of the late Frank Logan and Mary White Hogue, he was employed as a carpenter by Armstrong World Industries for 38 years, retiring in 1987. He was a World War II veteran having served in the European Theatre with the 335th Infantry Regiment, 84th Infantry Division. He was awarded the Combat Infantry Badge and a Purple Heart for wounds received in action on Jan. 7, 1945, during the Battle of the Bulge. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, Battle of the Bulge Veterans Association, and Post 638 Bessemer American Legion. While a resident of Enon Valley, he served for a number of years as borough secretary. He also was a founder of the Enon Valley Recreation Association (now the Beaver Creek Recreation Association), where he served for years as a manager in youth league baseball. He was also an honorary member of the Little Beaver Cemetery Association for his many hours of volunteer work. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, New Castle. Before moving to New Castle, he was a member of the Bible Presbyterian Church in Enon Valley, where he faithfully served as an elder and trustee. His hobbies included gardening, hunting and fishing. He dedicated his life to helping others and those who were less fortunate. He will be sadly missed by his loving family and those who knew him for his kindness and generosity. Relatives: his wife, Sarabelle McNees Hogue, whom he married June 1, 1946; two sons, Ron (Nancy) Hogue, Bessemer, Pa., and Greg (Amy) Hogue, Enon Valley; a brother, Lawrence Hogue, Enon Valley; two sisters, Blanche Lipp, New Castle, and Ellen Peloza, Enon Valley, and four grandchildren, Beth Hogue, Enon Valley; Rachel Hogue, Bessemer; Tom (Gretchen) Hogue, Enon Valley, and Mark Hogue, Bessemer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Jean Stuart, and two brothers, Claire and Sam Hogue. Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the R. CUNNINGHAM FUNERAL HOME INC., Wilmington Road, New Castle, Pa., where a service will be conducted Thursday at 11:30 a.m. The Rev. John Yergan and the Rev. Dennis Bupp will officiate. Military service will be conducted by the New Castle Area Honor Guard. Interment will be in Little Beaver Cemetery."5 He was buried at Little Beaver Cemetery, Enon Valley, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania.3

     Carl Edward McNees was born on 14 July 1916 at New Brighton, Beaver County, Pennsylvania.2 He was the son of Carl D. McNees and Carrie Mae Matheny.2 Carl Edward McNees married Grace Evelyn Kennedy, daughter of Elmer Hobaugh Kennedy and Melinda Alcorn Phillis, on 9 August 1940 at New Brighton, Beaver County, Pennsylvania.2 Carl Edward McNees died on 20 October 1985 at Medical Center of Beaver County, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, at age 69.3 His obituary read, "Carl E. McNees Sr., 69, of 640 17th Ave., New Brighton, died Sunday, Oct. 20, 1985, in the Medical Center of Beaver County. Born July 14, 1916, in New Brighton, son of the late Carl D. and Carrie May Metheny McNees, he was a lifelong resident of New Brighton; a retired employee of Armour and Co., Pittsburgh; a member of the First United Methodist Church, New Brighton, where he was former chairman of the Official Board, the Board of Trustees, and a long time member of the choir. He was a retired member and former secretary of the New Brighton Volunteer Fire Dept; a member, former president and secretary of the Beaver County Firemen's Relief Association; a member of the Pennsylvania State Firemen's Association, and a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in World War II. Surviving are his wife, Evelyn Kennedy McNees; two sons, Carl Jr., Baden, and Lt. Glenn E., U.S. Navy, Yokosuka, Japan; a daughter, Mrs. Richard (Carolyn) Astorino, Economy Borough; three grandchildren, Angela McNees, and Scott and Benjamin Astorino; a brother, W. Harry McNees, New Brighton, and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Donald D. Druschel Funeral Home, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, where a service will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. by his pastor, the Rev. David H. Lindberg. Interment will be in Grove Cemetery, New Brighton."3 He was buried at Grove Cemetery, New Brighton, Beaver County, Pennsylvania.3
