Parker and Rebecca Catherine Fuller Stewart.2 Margaret Evelyn Stewart married LeRoy Mardis, son of Martin Luther Mardis and Harriet Leona Jackman, on 10 February 1909.2,3 Margaret Evelyn Stewart died on 26 December 1969 at New Castle, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania, at age 82.1 Her obituary read, "Mrs. Margaret E. Mardis, 92, of 213 E. Fairmont Ave., the former Margaret Evelyn Stewart, died at 2 p.m. yesterday in the Jameson Memorial Hospital after a seven-month illness. She was born in Benwood, W. Va., March 7, 1877, to the late Perry Parker and Rebecca Katherine Fuller Stewart. She was married on Feb. 10, 1909, to LeRoy Mardis, who died in 1958. Surviving are two sons, L. Stewart of New Castle and Earl L. of Pulaski RD 1, and three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four sisters and four brothers. Friends will be received at the John R. Hodge Funeral Home, 127 E. Wallace Ave., from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow. A service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home by the Rev. Bert McCormick of First Presbyterian Church. Interment will be in Castle View Burial Park."3
