Dull of Slippery Rock passed away at 9:25 a.m. Sunday, July 9, 2006, in Slippery Rock Personal Care Home. She was 103. Mrs. Dull was born Dec. 22, 1902, in Clay Township, Butler County, a daughter of the late Edward Lawrence Carothers and Hannah Irene Gannon Carothers. She was a homemaker and the oldest living member of St. John’s United Methodist Church, Slippery Rock. Her husband, Ralph W. Dull, passed away May 24, 1978. She is survived by: three daughters, Mrs. Leon (Vera) Briggs, Portsmouth, Va; Wanda Keller and Mrs. Harry (Maxine) Allison, both Slippery Rock; two sons, Edward Dull, Slippery Rock; and Gerald Dull, Fredonia; 15 grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 26 great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Betty Kearns, Butler; two nieces; and a nephew. Besides her parents and her husband, Mrs. Dull was preceded in death by a son, two brothers and a grandson. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. John’s United Methodist Church, Hallston Road, Slippery Rock 16057."2
