     Richard Charles Bishop was born on 14 March 1932 at Klamath Falls, Klamath County, Oregon.2 He was the son of Charles Edward Bishop and Ruth Norene Bailey.1 Richard Charles Bishop died on 1 December 2007 at Pend Oreille County, Washington, at age 75.2 His obituary read, "BISHOP, Richard Charles. Left this world December 1st for a much better one. He was born March 14th, 1932 to Charles and Ruth Bishop in Klamath Falls, OR. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He graduated from Newport High School in 1950. He married his high school sweetheart, Gladys Richardson, in 1952. While attending Gonzaga University he was drafted into the Army in 1954 and served two years. He was a charter member of the Spokane Mystic Club. He and his father put on magic shows in the area. In October 1954 he and his wife took over the Roxy Theatre in Newport, WA and ran the business, which was a labor of love, until September 2007, when they retired to their
home on the Pend Oreille River. He was a member of NATO and the Motion Picture & Exhibitors of Washington – Alaska. His greatest loves were his family, grandchildren, his home on the river, and the Roxy. He is survived by his loving wife Gladys of 55 years at home; son Craig L and wife Cindy Bishop of Spokane; daughter Jodee Ann and husband Richard Bass of Sammamish, WA; grandsons Derek, Spencer Bishop, and Taylor Bass; granddaughters Jordann, Mercedes Bass, and Lexi Bishop; and his dear friends Frank and Vera Pagnotta of Spokane. Memorial Service will be held 11:00 AM on December 10th at St.
Anthony's Catholic Church in Newport, WA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Anthony's Catholic Church or the Rural Resource Christmas Fund. SHERMAN-KNAPP FUNERAL
HOME AND CREMATORY IN NEWPORT, WA is in charge of arrangements."2
