She was born Jan. 22, 1931, in Wichita, Kan, to Dale and Lucille King. She was married to John C. Fleming. Mary Ellen was a painter of fine art. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dale and Lucille King. Survivors include her husband, John C. Fleming; brother, Don King; daughter and husband, Cathey and Ron Thellen; son and wife, Les and Connie Chappell; granddaughter and husband, Andrea and Cory Ramsel; and grandson, Robert Chappell. Service will be 10 am Saturday, July 25, at Walker Funeral Service with Mark Guinn officiating. Burial will be Conway Springs, Kan."1 She was buried at Conway Springs Cemetery, Springdale Township, Sumner County, Kansas.1
