     Raymond Clair VanZandt was born on 4 January 1898 at Kendall County, Illinois.¹ He was the son of George Asa VanZandt and Mary E. "May" McKinney.¹ Raymond Clair VanZandt married Goldie Arilla Hollenbeck, daughter of Julius Ferdinand Hollenbeck and Frances Maria Emmaline Kelso, on 4 January 1921 at Morris, Grundy County, Illinois.² Raymond Clair VanZandt died on 18 January 1974 at Morris, Grundy County, Illinois, at age 76.¹ He was buried at Aux Sable Cemetery, Aux Sable, Grundy County, Illinois.¹
