     Maxine Elizabeth Jones was born on 19 December 1921 at Dundee, Tuscarawas County, Ohio.2,3 She was the daughter of Henry C. Jones and Mildred Messer.3 Maxine Elizabeth Jones married Marion Wesley McNutt, son of John Wesley McNutt and Stella Margaret Hudnell, on 1 March 1946 at Las Vegas, Clark County, Nevada.2,3 Maxine Elizabeth Jones died on 11 May 2010 at Linden Court Nursing Home, North Platte, Lincoln County, Nebraska, at age 88.3 Her obituary read, "Maxine E. McNutt, age 88, of North Platte, passed away May 11, 2010 at Linden Court. She was born December 19, 1921 in Dundee, Ohio to Henry C. and Mildred Messer Jones. She went to school and graduated in 1940 at Brewster High School, in Brewster, Ohio. Maxine worked for the B&O Railroad in Ohio. She married Marion McNutt on March 1, 1946 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The couple lived in various places in the country and in later years moved to Scottsbluff, NE and Alaska and finally to North Platte, to be closer to their family. Maxine attended the Berean Church in North Platte. Maxine enjoyed quilting at the Senior Center; crocheting; and doing flower and vegetable gardens. Survivors include daughter, Cheryl (Charles) Reese of North Platte; adopted daughter, Cheryl Fire Thunder of Pierre, South Dakota; step-daughter, Faye Grater of Wauseon, Ohio; step-son, Chester (Judith) McNutt of Berea, Ohio; daughter-in-law, Joyce McNutt of North Pole, Alaska; 13 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren; many various family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and son, Duane; daughter-in-law, Nancy McNutt; son-in-law, Donald Grater. A memorial has been established to the North Platte Berean Church or the North Platte Senior Center and online condolences can be made at www.adamsswanson.com. Services will be Saturday, May 15, 2010 at 12:00 PM at the North Platte Berean Church with the Pastor Jonathan Tucker officiating. Burial will follow at the North Platte Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, from noon until 9 PM and Friday, from 9 to 9 at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home, which is in charge of the arrangements."3 She was buried at North Platte Cemetery, North Platte, Lincoln County, Nebraska.3
