     Ralph Garfield McNeese was born on 4 March 1881 at High Ridge, Belmont County, Ohio.1,2 He was the son of John Atkinson McNeese and Margaret Ashenhurst.1,2 Ralph Garfield McNeese married Mabel Edith Bryant, daughter of James Madison Bryant and Nancy Elizabeth Schriber, on 18 May 1908 at Wheeling, Ohio County, West Virginia.1,2 Ralph Garfield McNeese died on 17 March 1955 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma County, Oklahoma, at age 74.1,2 His obituary read, "Services for Ralph Garfield McNeese, 74, long-time printer, will be at 11 am Saturday in the Street & Draper funeral chapel. Place of burial will be announced later. McNeese, an Oklahoma Publishing Co employee for 25 years, died Friday in his home, 1500 W Park, following a stroke. He had worked in the Oklahoman and Times composing room from 1916 until his retirement four years ago. Born in Belaire OH, McNeese began his printing career after graduating from high school there. He worked for newspapers in Wheeling WV before coming to Oklahoma in 1915. McNeese was employed as a printer with a Sapulpa paper and the Enid News before joining the Oklahoma Publishing Co. He was a member of Siloam Masonic lodge here and formerly belonged to the Apollo Club. He was a long-time member of the First Presbyterian Church and had sung in the choir for many years. Surviving are his wife, Mrs Mabel McNeese, of the home; a daughter, Mrs Don Akin, 2801 NW 34; a brother, James A McNeese, Ponca City; a sister, Martha McNeese; and a cousin, Mrs Lee Crowther, both of Route 4, Edmond."3 He was buried at Rose Hill Burial Park, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma County, Oklahoma.1,2
