     Eleanor Margaret Covert was born on 30 November 1922 at Oakland Township, Butler County, Pennsylvania.1,2 She was the daughter of John Henry Covert and Emma Opal Hutchens.1,2 Eleanor Margaret Covert married Loyal Graham Oesterling, son of Lee Floyd Oesterling and Iva Mae Graham, on 29 March 1946 at North Butler Presbyterian Church, Oakland Township, Butler County, Pennsylvania.1,2 Eleanor Margaret Covert died on 19 January 2005 at Butler, Butler County, Pennsylvania, at age 82.3 She Her obituary read, "Eleanor M. Oesterling, 82, of 335 Center Drive in Oakland Township died at 4:45 a.m. today at Sunnyview Nursing Home. Born in Butler, Nov. 30, 1922, she was the daughter of John and Emma Hutchens Covert. She was a homemaker and had worked in the dietary department at Butler Memorial Hospital for 16 years. Mrs. Oesterling was a member of the North Butler Presbyterian Church and the Moraine Blazing Star Campers. She is survived by her husband, Loyal G. Oesterling, whom she married March 29, 1946; a daughter; a son; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. A sister; a brother; and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
Two sisters and two brothers preceded her in death.
OESTERLING - Friends of Eleanor M. Oesterling, who died Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2005, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Mary Sickles, her church pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Butler County Memorial Park, Butler Township."3 She was buried at Butler County Memorial Park, Butler, Butler County, Pennsylvania.3

He was born July 3, 1919 in Butler, Pennsylvania to the late Lee Floyd Oesterling and Iva May (Graham) Oesterling. Mr. Oesterling was a veteran of the United States Army in World War II. He worked as an auto mechanic. Mr. Oesterling was a member of the VFW Post #249, Silver Sneakers and the Moraine Blazing Stars Chapter of Family Campers and RVers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor Margaret (Covert) Oesterling, whom he married March 29, 1946, and who passed away January 19, 2005; one brother; and one sister. Friends will be received Monday, December 23, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, PA. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, PA, with Reverend Mary J. Kitchen of North Butler Presbyterian Church officiating.
