Harold Glenn Moorhead Jr.1,2

     Harold Glenn Moorhead Jr. was born on 20 October 1916 at Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.2 He was the son of Harold Glenn Moorhead and Mabel Caroline Hurd.2 Harold Glenn Moorhead Jr. married Georgine Louisa Stokes, daughter of David George Stokes and Carrie Louisa Clark, on 25 July 1945 at New Castle, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania.2 Harold Glenn Moorhead Jr. died on 24 March 2010 at age 93.3 His obituary read, "Harold G. Moorhead, Jr. age 93 of Wilmington and formerly of Williamsport, PA and Baden, PA died on March 24, 2010, at the Christiana Hospital. He graduated from South Hills High School in Pittsburgh, PA. He was a member of the U.S. ARMY Fourth Infantry Division during WWII from 1942 - 1945, participated in the Normandy Invasion in addition to other European campaigns and was awarded the Bronze Star.
Mr. Moorhead worked 48 years in the steel industry. A loving and devoted family man, he wholehearted served his churches over the years, was a member of the VFW, collected coins and enjoyed sports. His daughter, Lois Lynn Moorhead died in 1991. Survivors include his wife, Georgina Stokes Moorhead; son David G. and his wife Cheri B. of Wilmington and 2 grandchildren, Glenn and Stephen Moorhead, both residing in Philadelphia, PA. A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, March 28, 2010, at Skyline United Methodist Church. He will be buried in Sylvania Hills Cemetery, Rochester, PA. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Skyline United Methodist Church, 3100 Skyline Drive, Wilmington, DE 19808."3 He was buried at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Daugherty Township, Beaver County, Pennsylvania.3
