If you are looking for a specific person, you may click on the SURNAME button to see a list of all surnames on this site. Each surname is followed by a number showing how many individuals have that surname. Clicking a surname will take you to a list of all individuals with that surname.
If you click on the PLACES button you will see an alphabetical list of places that have been referenced by any events (birth, marriage, death, etc.). These places are listed first by state, then by county, then city or township. By clicking on a specific place, all individuals with events at that place are listed.
If you click on the CHARTS button you will see a list of available descendent or pedigree charts. When selecting a chart, please note that the color codes for each chart are at the bottom of the chart.
From any of these locations you may click on an individual to see the details for that individual. These details are a collection of events (birth, marriage, death, etc.) that are listed in chronological order and each event is presented in narrative format. Each event has a sentence format which contains the information that we have at this time. We have included census information as it was recorded, but please remember that census information may not always be accurate because the census enumerator may have spoken to a child or even a neighbor. Because of this, you may see differences between information contained in the census paragraphs and our recorded data. Numerical sources are referenced within this narrative data and those sources immediately follow the individual's data.
Several icons are used throughout this website. The icon is shown in the surname index to denote that a picture of the individual will be shown on the data page. If an individual event has an associated picture, you will need to click on the icon to see the picture. The icon is attached to Alvin LaClede McMullen and all his direct ancestors. The icon is attached to Don Lowry McNees and all his direct ancestors. The icon is attached to Sarah Clarissa McNutt and all her direct ancestors. The icon is attached to Phyllis May VanZandt and all her direct ancestors.
Last of all, we respect the privacy of living individuals. If there is someone whom you feel is missing from this site, it may be that the person is still living or we do not have a record of a death date. If there is information about a living person displayed on this site, please let us know that we may remove it.
We hope that you enjoy this website and that there is a connection between your family and ours.
