     Roy Omer Young was born on 19 March 1919 at Peach Orchard, West Virginia.1 He died on 12 September 1987 at his home, Summersville, Nicholas County, West Virginia, at age 68.1 His obituary read, "Roy Omer Young, 68 years of age of Summersville, Nicholas County died Saturday, September 12, 1987 at his home following an extended illness. He was the son of the late Roy and Jane Deal Young and was born at Peach Orchard March 19, 1919. He was a retired coal miner. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dolly Marie Young on March 16, 1987. Surviving: His stepfather, Philip Nottingham of Summersville; three sons, Roy Denver Young and Herbert Young both of Summersville and James Douglas Young
of Uhrichsville, Ohio; three daughters, Beulah M. Weaver and Helen McCort both of Wooster, Ohio and Waconda Young at home; ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Monday afternoon at 2:00p.m. in the Waters Funeral
Chapel at Summersville with the Rev. Keith Williams and the Rev. Bill Burke officiating. Burial will follow in the Walker Memorial Park at Summersville."2 He was buried at Walker Memorial Cemetery, Summersville, Nicholas County, West Virginia.2
