     Robert Etter Sheely was born on 27 August 1918 at Youngstown, Mahoning County, Ohio.1 He was the son of Elmer Marcus Sheely and Ora Etta Reesh.1,2 Robert Etter Sheely married first Doris Vivian Glaser, daughter of Matthew Earl Glaser and Maude Earla Culp, on 14 April 1939 at Wellsville, Columbiana County, Ohio.1 Robert Etter Sheely married second Evelyn Mackall Holzer on 27 May 1977 at East Palestine, Columbiana County, Ohio.1 Robert Etter Sheely died on 26 July 2001 at Salem, Columbiana County, Ohio, at age 82. He was buried at Glenview Cemetery, East Palestine, Columbiana County, Ohio. He His obituary read, "Robert Etter Sheely, 84, formerly of West Martin Street, died at 10:45 p.m. Thursday, July 26, 2001, at Salem Community Hospital following a lengthy illness.
He wa sborn in Unity, Ohio, Aug. 27, 1916, a son of the late Elmer M. and Ora Reesh Sheely.
He was an owner and upholsterer for the Hy-Comfort Upholstery Shop in East Palestine and was a member of the Emmanuel United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Doris C. Glaser Sheely, and his second wife, Evelyn Mackall Holzer Sheely.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Dick (JennyLind) Dailey of East Palestine and Mrs. James (Debbie Jean) Snyder of North Lima; two step-daughters, Mrs. William (Shirley) Wilson and Connie Robinson of East Palestine; two sons, Robert M. Sheely of East Palestine and Jeffrey D. Sheely of Las Vegas, Nev; a stepson, Chuck Holzer of Alliance; a sister, Ruth Knight of Columbiana; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
The Rev. Brian Miller of the church will conduct services at 2 p.m. Monday at the Van Dyke-Swaney Funeral Home. Burial will be in Glenview Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday."3
